Ryuki, Lynette learned, was a very sensitive person.

“Pfft- you’re so squirmy!” She couldn’t help but laugh at yet another failed attempt to hold her fiance, feeling him shift about. They had been in Japan for a few days now, visiting his hometown and enjoying some sightseeing. It was lovely, but they spent so much time out and about, they barely did more than sleep when they got back to the hotel.
Which was fine- she was having a blast. And it wasn’t as if he was unwilling to be intimate with her during the evenings they actually had energy to spare.
But sometimes she just wanted to lay in their futons and cuddle- wrap her arms around his waist and lay her head against his chest. She wanted to hear the steady increase of his heart rate and how it matched her own as they slowly but surely got used to the feeling. She longed for lazy mornings or cozy nights just…sharing space with him.
Again, a lack of participation wasn’t the issue. It was just…
“I’m sorry- it tickles!” He squirmed when she ran her hand against his side, biting down giggles beneath her. “You're doing this on p-puuhuhrpose!”
“No I’m not!” Okay, maybe she was a little. It was hard to resist when he was so endearing! His laughter was like liquor to her system, making her feel lightheaded and drunk, and oh, that smile…”I’m trying to hold you! Calm down!”

“Ehehehahaha! Nohohohow I know yoohohohu’re doing this on puhuuhuhrpose! Ahahaha, dohohon’t tiihihckle mehehee!” He cried, fully laughing as he wiggled about. He squeaked when her fingers joined in, curling against his lower ribs in a slow feathery touch. “Lehhehehehenehehehehhette!”
“Hehe, tickle tickle. My, you really can’t handle this, can you? I thought you were giggly when we visited that Shiba cafe, but this?” She grinned against his skin, recalling their earlier adventure. “This is even better! Hmm..where else are you ticklish?”
“Nohoohho where! Nohoohwhere else!” He quickly claimed, cheeks getting redder. His smile was nervous but excited- he was clearly enjoying this, even if he’d deny it later. “I’m nohohot ticklish anywhere but my rihihibs!”

“Ah! So you did lie to me!” She gasped, pretending to be shocked. “That’s a penalty for you, Ryuki! It’s punishment time!”
“Whahat? Whahait, what puhunis-EHEHEHEHEK!” He shrieked when she pushed his robe open, blowing a huge raspberry against his ribs. Her position made it hard to reach his stomach, but the result was still satisfying. “NOHOHO PLEAHHAHSE!”
“Shall I do it again?” She playfully threatened, grinning at his smiling face. “Or do you want to be honest with me?”
“Ehehehe..ehhehehe..do-doohohn’t loohohk at me like thahahat!” He covered his face with his hands, turning away. “Oohoohkay, ohohokay, I’m tiihihcklish thehehere…hahahahppy?”
“Very.” She nodded, giving him a much needed breather. Once he calmed down, she let her fingers walk down his sides, resting at his hips. “How about here?”
“Ehehe..a lihihittle, but not reahhally?” He offered, and she pinched them just to check. He giggled some, but the reaction was definitely minor compared to the rest of his torso. “Sheheheee?”
“I believe you. Now…what about here?” She reached for his armpits, and he immediately shot his arms down tight to block her from them. “Oo, bad spot?”
“Tehheehherrible!” He whined, laughing even though she didn’t touch them. “Nohoohoht my woohohorst though.”
“Oh?” Her curiosity spiked, and he flinched at his accidental reveal. “So you have an even more ticklish spot than your belly and ribs? Even more than your armpits?”
“Y-yheehhes?” He nodded, hiding from her mischievous gaze. “I wohhohon’t tell you though!”
“Oo, gonna make me work for it?” She swept a finger to his neck, wiggling against the back. She knew it wasn’t much of a tickle spot, but he scrunched up anyway with a titter, swatting at her hand. “Okay, not your neck- maybe your…back?” She squirreled her hand under him, scratching the entire way. He arched some at the touch, his giggles growing, but again- not the reaction she was looking for. “Hmmm…I bet it’s your legs.”
“Wait! Whahahit, waihahahit, hohohohld on!” He grabbed her sleeve, preventing her from turning. “Giihihve me a sehehehcond, pleahhase!”
She did, tucking her hands politely beneath her chin as he gasped for air. An arm was tossed over his face, hiding his furious blush, and it took all her willpower not to poke him in his exposed armpit. She was a woman of her word, after all.
Eventually, he lowered his arm, his other hand releasing her sleeve and smoothing it out some. “Okay…okay, fine. You can try. I’m not sorry if I kick you, though.”
“You won’t.” She blew him a kiss, turning around so she was facing his legs. Her hands immediately latched onto his thighs, earning a funny noise from him. “Is it here?”
“Geheheehhehe! Nohohohot rehahaha-AHAHAHLLY!” Ryuki bucked beneath her when she began squeezing, focusing on the spot just above where his knees connected. A good reaction- a great one even! Still, she suspected this wasn’t his most ticklish spot. Call it intuition, but she knew there had to be an even bigger reaction here.
“Thighs are a good spot- noted.” She giggled, going for his knees next. In response, his laughter increased, as did his squirms. His feet kicked against the futon while she skittered her fingers along the joint, relishing his adorable cackles. “These are also a good spot it seems, and yet…I bet I can get an even better reaction from you…here!”
“Yeaahhahah rihhihihght! Goohohod luck with tha-AHHHAHH!” He positively shrieked when she grabbed his foot, scribbling into the soft skin. Then she got a series of unexpected pig snorts and squeals, contrasting greatly with his glamorous appearance. “LYNEHEEHEHHEHETTE! EHEHAHHAHAHAHA! AHHHEAHHAHAHA!”
“How do you stand pedicures when you’re this ticklish?” She delighted in his reaction, expertly avoiding his other foot as it tried to kick her away. She repositioned herself so she sat on both legs, getting both of his feet at the same time. Occasionally, she poked at his toes, making his laugh go silent. “I bet you do your own pedi’s and tell the salon not to touch them when you go. I know- I do the same.”
If he had a response, Ryuki couldn’t give it to her, too lost in his mirth. Feeling merciful- she stopped tickling him, massaging his calves as he struggled to calm. Then she realized they were just as ticklish as his thighs and decided to move away from his legs altogether, turning back to face him and laying across his heaving belly like a weighted blanket. “Sorry- was that too much?”
He couldn’t speak- couldn’t really do anything at the moment. She got cozy as he collected himself, head against his chest and arms around his torso. His body vibrated with residue snickers, voice a little raspy when he could finally speak. “Tahhahat..was intense!”
“Was it?” She asked, genuine with her concern. Seeing that, he averted his gaze, ears bright red. “I’m sorry.”
“No, it’s fiihihne.” He cleared his throat, running a hand through his bangs. “I haven’t been tickled like that since…well, I’ve never been tickled like that. My mom and sister as you know are touchy- they tickled me a lot when I was a kid. Sometimes dad joined in, but never to that extreme though. This was…honestly kinda fun.” He finally met her gaze, looking a bit sheepish but determined to speak his mind. “I trusted you during it, and I trust you now. It was…refreshing, to let go like that.”
“Really? Huh. I never thought of tickle fights like that.” She mused, resting her chin against him as he played with her loose hair. “I don’t recall having many growing up. My parents and aunt would tickle me occasionally, but the older I got, the rarer that became. Even when I moved in with my roommates, we didn’t really have tickle fights.” She couldn’t recall ever having one with Claris or Gill. “To let yourself go and just give in…it sounds both scary and exciting. Hey.” She leaned forward to kiss him gently. “Thanks for trusting me enough to do so.”
“Yeah well- don’t get too excited about doing this again. I’m gonna find out where you’re ticklish.” He huffed, but she could see her words touched him. “You said something about pedicures earlier- your feet are ticklish?”
“Yeah- not as much as yours though.” She giggled at his pout. “But that’s all I’m gonna say! If you want to find all my tickle spots, you’re just gonna have to come at me.”
“Is that an invitation?” His confidence was returning. She knew she was tiptoing around a landmine being so bold, but this side of him was just as endearing as the other one. She let him flip their positions, hovering over her with a devious smirk. “Are you…asking me to tickle you?”
“What if I am?” She bravely declared, raising her chin. “Are you gonna follow through or not?”
“I want you to say it.” He growled, and finally- a tiny prick of uneasiness curled in her chest. It wasn’t unpleasant- if anything, it made her even more excited. “Say you want me to tickle you.”
She grinned, leaning up until she was close to his ear. “Make me.”
His eyes flashed with challenge, and she knew in an instant she let that landmine blow up sky high.

“Eheheheheheheheheeeek!” Higuchi squealed, shimmying back and forth as Gin kneaded into her sides, beaming. She was always so flustered around the other woman, but especially when her guard was down like this, being the recipient of such a beautiful smile was nearly unbearable. “Mihihihihihiss Akutagahahahahawa!”
Gin snickered. “It’s cute that you insist on calling me that when I’ve got you laughing like this.” She hummed, grin becoming a tad evil as she slipped her hand down a little further to pinch her hip, making the blonde shriek and twist violently to the side, hysteria building. “I wonder what it will take for you to call me by my name…”
Higuchi’s cheeks flamed at the way her laugh sounded now, high-pitched and panicky and not at all ladylike. Fortunately for her Gin seemed to love her laugh – but then again, it was unfortunate for her when she was at her girlfriend’s mercy like this.
“Plehehehehehehehease, nohohohohoho! Not thehehehehehehere! You knohohohohow it’s bahahahahad – NOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!”
Gin expertly kept up with her flailing as she dug into both hips at once, making Higuchi arch her back and shriek with the kind of uncoordinated laughter that lifted Gin’s spirits and made her heart race. The blonde was always so cute, but in moments like this she was utterly adorable.
Feeling emboldened, she suddenly abandoned Higuchi’s hips in favor of grabbing her ankle and skittering her nails along her socked sole. She was rewarded with a startled “huuuh?!” and bubbly giggles for her efforts, as well as redoubled attempts to squirm out of her grip.
But Gin was strong, and they both knew it.
“Do you have ticklish legs?” the brunette wondered aloud, teasingly slipping a finger under her girlfriend’s pant leg to scratch at her lower calf. She grinned, expecting more laughter or perhaps a weakly veiled “no” that absolutely meant yes.
But to her surprise, Higuchi’s eyes went wide with genuine panic, and suddenly she was pulling at her trapped ankle in earnest, crying, “No! Nonono, Gin! Don’t – I’m serious!”
Startled, Gin let go of her entirely, holding her hands up to show she was safe. “I’m so sorry, was that too intimate? I didn’t mean—”
“N-No, it’s…not that,” Higuchi said quietly, pulling her limbs into herself and suddenly looking very uncomfortable.
“Then…what is it?”
“I just…I haven’t shaved.” The last part was said so quietly that it was almost a whisper.
Gin caught herself in time before she laughed out loud. “I don’t care if you forgot to shave.”
The blonde was quiet. She darted her eyes up, but never quite made contact with Gin’s. “No, I mean…I don’t shave. I haven’t for years.”
“So?”
“And my…my hair…” Higuchi grasped some of the blonde wisps that had gotten stuck to her face in the playful scuffle. “I dyed this, but…my legs are natural.”
Gin frowned, confused and perhaps a little hurt. “Ichiyo. You don’t really think I care about any of that, do you?”
“It’s just that, you’re so feminine and pretty. I know you take good care of your hair and your body and like to look smooth and shiny—” Higuchi stopped when Gin gently put a hand on hers.
“Ichiyo, that’s my body. My choice to make for myself. It doesn’t mean I expect every woman to care about all of that. I don’t expect you to shave your legs just because I do. It’s your body. You do what you want with it.”
The blonde hesitated. “But won’t you think it’s gross?”
“No? It’s just hair. It’s natural, like you said.” Gin observed her girlfriend for a moment longer, then shifted so she was holding her hand properly, squeezing it gently. “If you don’t want me to see it or touch it or anything right now, that’s okay. We don’t have to. I’ll tickle you somewhere else – assuming you’re still okay with that,” she added quickly.
Higuchi’s cheeks had already been slightly pink, but now the color was prominent. It made her look so cute. “I just…don’t want you to think I’m dirty. Or too masculine. Or…anything. I want you to keep liking me, because I like you so much.”
The words made Gin’s heart soar, but she understood now wasn’t the time to focus on that last part. She grabbed her girlfriend’s chin and forced her to look up, to finally make eye contact for the first time. “I like you so much, too. Just the way you are. Hair or no hair, makeup or no makeup, belly fat or toned abs. Your personality is what draws me to you, Ichiyo. The rest isn’t nearly as important as that.”
A more comfortable silence settled between them after that. Higuchi took a moment to consider, and Gin let her have as much time as she needed. Finally, the blonde squeezed her hand back. “I guess I don’t mind if you…keep going. I just got scared. I don’t want you to tease me about it.”
The brunette smiled, then leaned in to kiss her tenderly, letting all her love for the other woman seep into the moment. When she pulled back, that playful twinkle had returned. She gradually shifted down to take hold of her girlfriend’s ankle. “Shut up, you know that I love you – but that’s enough of this spiral~”
Higuchi blinked in astonishment, her lips quirking despite herself. “Did…did you just quote Hazbin Hotel – ah! Ahahahahahaha no fahahahahahair, you dihihihihihidn’t wahahahaharn me!”
“Grabbing your ankle wasn’t warning enough?” Gin giggled, watching her face as she went right back to what she’d been doing before, slipping a couple of fingers under her pants leg to scribble at her calf. “Now, I want to know! Do you have ticklish legs?”
This time, the blonde sputtered and covered her face in embarrassment – the good kind, now – and whined, “Nohohohohohohoho!” Just as Gin had expected her to do from the beginning.
“Oh? So this doesn’t tickle?” she teased, scritching her unfairly manicured nails into her girlfriend’s skin. “Not even a little?”
“Gihihihihihihihihihin!”
The brunette smiled, keeping up her playful attack until Higuchi was back to laughing freely and squirming around like she always did when her body wanted to get away but her heart wanted her to stay put and soak in the rare moment of fun.

“Lance, I’m going to punch you if you don’t stop annoying me,” Keith growled, shoving Lance’s socked foot away from his side for the nth time that evening.
Lance had been relentlessly poking him—and by relentless, he means that it was about every forty seconds or so. The blue paladin only cheesed at the red, going for another poke.
Groaning, in annoyance, Keith grabbed Lance’s ankle and stretched his leg to the side. The younger boy yelped in pain and smacked at Keith’s hand. “Okay! Okay! Ouch, dude! Let go!”
“Then stop acting like a child!” The black-haired male released the other’s leg, crossing his arms with a huff. “Honestly! All I wanted was to watch the movie that Pidge got us at the space mall today, but I can’t do that because you’re being so annoying!”
Lance paused and frowned, tucking his legs into his body and turning toward the tiny TV. His smile was gone, as was his playful demeanor.
‘Do not despair, Cub… Red is agitated…’
Lance rested his chin on his knees, ignoring Blue’s words that were echoing through his head.
‘Maybe ask Yellow for help… He is kind… understanding…’
The younger boy shook the thoughts away, ‘watching’ the movie silently. He tried to ignore the tingling feeling in his skin, along with the almost-painful butterflies in his stomach. If there was one thing Lance hated, it was getting these moods.
Keith glanced to the side, huffing at the brunette’s demeanor. “Why are you pouting?”
“M’not.”
“Lance—“
“I’m not pouting! You wanted me to be quiet and leave you alone, so I am.”
Keith paused for a moment, then sighed, looking back at the tv. He found himself unable to focus, so he turned back to Lance. “Tell me what’s bothering you. You wanted my attention, and now you have it.”
“Nothing. You were right; I just wanted to annoy you.”
“Liar.”
“I’m not a liar!”
‘Tell the truth, Cub… Red worries…’
“I don’t believe you.” Keith scooted closer, closing in on Lance.
The butterflies in the blue paladin’s stomach increased, as did the tingling in his skin. He felt a warmth enveloping him as well—Blue’s bond.
‘Tell the truth… Will make you…’
He shook his head in refusal. What was that supposed to mean?
Lance felt a lump in his throat, and he furrowed his brow in confusion. The lump traveled up… and up… and up… until—
“I don’t believe you. Why were you being such a brat?”
“I wanted you to tickle me.”
Both boys froze at the younger’s honesty. Lance’s eyes widened, and he waved his hands frantically. He wanted to squeak out an excuse, but he found another lump sneaking up and out of his mouth.
“Sometimes I get this feeling in my body, and it means it wants someone to tickle me.” He slapped his hand over his mouth in mortification. Another goddamn lump was coming up. “I was too embarrassed to ask Hunk.”
Lance buried his face into one of the pillows on the couch, turning his back to the red paladin. His ears burned hot, and he shook his head repeatedly.
‘Blue! What the hell?!
‘Told you, Cub… would make you tell truth…’
‘Keith is going to think I’m weird now! He’s going to be disgusted, and he won’t want talk to me anymore!’
‘Cub is wrong… Red’s mood… softer… playful…’
‘You keep getting me into bad situations! Just stop with the advi—‘
“That’s it? That’s all you wanted?” Keith’s voice broke him out of his mental argument with his lion. “Dude, I thought you were trying to piss me off so bad that I would leave.”
Lance buried himself deeper in the pillow, curling in on himself, “Nonononono! I lied! I was just joking, man! Haha! Funny joke! You’re right; I just wanted to bug y-AH! Wahahahahahait!” The younger boy jolted, arms flying to his sides when he felt fingers wiggling against them. “Ihihihihi wahahahahas kihihihiddihihihing! Keheheheheith!”
“Doesn’t seem like you were. Your body just relaxed the second I touched you; I felt it.” Keith’s fingers dug in a little deeper, and Lance squeaked, falling backwards onto his back. He held the pillow over his face, giggling into it.
“Nohohohohoho!”
‘Cub is feeling lighter… Red is playful… enjoying self…’
“Oh man, I can’t believe I didn’t see it. I mean, I know I didn’t grow up with all of the siblings, but I’m pretty perceptive—“ His hands traveled up to Lance’s ribs, eliciting a bark of laughter and a squirm from the younger. “I think anyone could tell you I’m perceptive, but I’m surprised I missed it, Y’know?”
Ugh! Stupid Keith being all casual while totally killing him!
Yeh blue paladin kicked his legs as he tried to trap Keith’s hands against his body. Naturally, it did not stop the tickling; it only made it much worse. Lance squirmed against the couch, body jolting every which way.
“Y’know, you could have just asked me. I wouldn’t have thought you were weird or anything.”
‘Cub worries for nothing… Red is kind… patient… enjoys Cub’s company…’
Lance pulled the pillow impossibly closer to his face, trying to ignore the burning feeling on his skin. His joyful laughter was muffled by the fabric, much to Keith’s annoyance.
“Why are you hiding? I thought you wanted me to do this.”
Lance only whined in response at the question.
“Are you embarrassed?”
“Shuhuhuhut uhuhuhup!”
“Shut up? How rude of you Lance. Not very kind of you at all. Maybe I need to get Shiro out here to—“
“Nohohohoho!” The brunette clamped his arms down further, eliciting a smile from Keith.
Sometimes, during these playful moments, Lance forgets that he and his fellow paladins are trained soldiers for a space war. He had forgotten this when Keith freed one of his hands and yanked the pillow off his face. Lance, in turn, smacked his hands over it instead.
“Well, well, well, this won’t do at all…” Keith’s fingers left his body, and Lance took the moment to breathe. “How am I supposed to see your smile if you have your hands over your face?”
“Shove off! You suck, Mullet!”
“Hey, you’re the one who asked for this in the first place!” Keith argued in return. Lance whined, curling in on himself. “Dude. It’s literally nothing to be ashamed of. Sometimes the body just craves touch.”
“I knoooooow, but… ugh.”
“Will you take your hands away now?”
“No way. I don’t want you to see my face!”
“Well, looks like I’ll just have to make you.”
“Make me? How are you gonna— ACK! AHAHAHA! KEHEHEHEHEITH NAHAHAHAO!” The blue paladin squirmed when the red’s fingers latched onto his tummy. “NONONONONOHOHOHOHOHO!”
“Ooh! Wow. What a reaction,” Keith cooed, snaking his hands underneath Lance’s thin top. His fingers wriggled against the boy’s bare skin, only causing him to turn on his side and squeal into his hands more. “Come oooon, let me see that smile!”
‘Cub is having fun?… Red is enjoying self…’
Lance’s legs kicked wildly against the sofa. Every attempt his body made to escape was only met with the older’s tickling fingers.
“YOHOHOHOU SUHUHUHUCK!”
“I might,” Keith hummed, “but it’ll make you feel better for sure.”
A familiar voice entered both of their ears. “Hey guys! What’s so funny?” Hunk appeared in the doorway as it opened with a hiss, dressed in his pajamas.
Curiously, he walked to the couch and took in the scene. The movie was long forgotten—the credits were rolling now. Keith looked delighted, looking down at something.
Well, someone.
Hunk’s smile widened when he saw his best friend struggling to keep his ‘cool-guy’ composure. With every pinch to his skin, another yelp and fit of giggles would leave him.
“Oh, we tickling Lance?” He walked around the side of the couch to confirm his suspicions.
Stupid Hunk talking about it like it was the most casual thing in the world! Lance felt Keith’s fingers cease their wiggling, instead patting his bare stomach.
“He ask—“ the older boy paused, not wanting to betray Lance’s trust. “He was being a total brat. I figured Shiro would get mad if I actually hurt him, so I did the next best thing. Now, he’s covering his face, and I can’t figure out what to do to make him stop.”
“Oh, is that it?”
There was a shift in Lance’s position. Hunk, as he always could do, manhandled the blue paladin to turn his body. Now with his back to Keith again, Lance peeked through his fingers in confusion.
“You want him to crack? Observe.”
The younger boy felt a weight on his legs, and before he knew it, he was screaming in laughter again.
“NONONONOHOHOHOHO!! HUHUHUHUNK! NAHAHAHAT THEHEHEHEHERE! NAHAHAHAT MY HIHIHIHIPS!” Lance’s body fell backwards against Keith’s, and he was half expecting the other paladin to tickle him too. Instead, he was held gently, an arm around his torso. “NOHOHOHOHOHO!”
“Has he asked you to stop yet?” Hunk inquired casually, tweaking his best friend’s hipbones with his thumbs.
“Mm mnh,” Keith hummed in reply, gently patting Lance’s chest.
Hunks fingers traveled upward, thumbs drilling into that squishy spot on his waistline, just above his hips.
“NAHAHAHAHA! HUHUHUHUNK!” Lance shot upward, grabbing at his best friend’s hands.
“Ope! There you go, Keith! You got your wish.”
The blue paladin’s face was overtaken mostly by his ear-to-ear smile. His eyes were open, but they didn’t stay that way for long when Hunk resumed his tickling. Falling backwards against Keith again, Lance barked with joyful laughter.
He was expecting to be able to hide behind his hands, but the older male was quick to pin them to Lance’s torso.
Lance’s loud laughter was not something Keith was expecting to enjoy so much. He felt a warm feeling in his stomach with every squeal and cackle. He wanted to take part in it again… if he could just…
“EEEEYAHAHAHAHA! NOHOHOHOHOHO! KEHEHEHEHEITH!” The blue paladin squirmed against Keith’s body when another hand descended to tickle his ribs.
“Tickle tickle tickle!” Hunk cooed.
“NOHOHOHOHOHO!”
“You just tell us when to stop,” Keith hummed.
‘My paladin, pay close attention to Blue. While he is enjoying himself, he will reach his limit soon.’ Red’s words entered his head, and Keith nodded in return.
Well, might as well go for the kill.
Keith shoved his hands under Lance’s arms, wiggling mercilessly. Immediately, in turn, he was met with a loud squeal of laughter. Lance flopped like a fish against Keith’s body, trying to squirm every which way.
Hunk’s hands lifted immediately, and Keith brought his arms down to rest on Lance’s torso again.
“Take some breaths, bud,” Hunk instructed, getting back onto his feet.
Panting with a huge smile, the blue paladin fully flopped back against the red. He caught his breath carefully, his eyes shutting subconsciously.
“Well, my work here is done. I’ll be in the kitchen if you need me,” Hunk noted, making his way out of the living room.
Keith looked down at Lance with a soft smile. “Well? Scratched the itch?”
Nodding tiredly, Lance sighed. His eyes reminded shut as he recovered from the attack.
“You can just ask next time, sharpshooter. No need to try to provoke me.” The red paladin’s hand found its way up to Lance’s hair, petting his head gently. “You wanna sleep?”
“Mmngh…. Movie….”
“Movie’s done, idiot. Go to sleep.”
“Mmmmkay.”
Keith couldn’t lie; he quite enjoyed the weight against his torso. Plus, a snoozing Lance was a quiet Lance.
One of my favorite things about loving someone or developing a closeness or fondness towards someone is also loving and developing a fondness for the things they care about. When you learn to see the world in a new way, or you learn to appreciate the things you’ve previously overlooked, or they become your excuse to get into an interest you always thought was cool but thought you didn’t have time for.
