He couldnât be sure of how long he had been staring, butPeter couldnât bring himself to look away. Not when Harry was leaning entirelyagainst his side, head nearly tucked into the crook of Peterâs neck. Hisexpression was relaxed in a way Peter hadnât seen in awhile, his chest risingand falling steadily. The moment felt too fragile, so really, he wasnât allowedto look away. If the bags under his eyes were anything to go by, Harry wasnâtsleeping half as much as he should. Not that Peter wasnât an astoundinghypocrite for thinking that, but Harry didnât deserve that kind ofrestlessness. If it took Peter sacrificing himself as a pillow to get him somesleep, then he would happily stay still.
Carefully, he draped an arm loosely around his friend, smiling a little lopsidedly when Harry stirred but didnât wake. With his freehand, he reached for the Xbox controller on the other cushion and picked up the level where theyhad left off.Â
â =wiping blood off their face
Shit. Shitshitshit. This wasnât supposed tohappen, ever. Under any circumstance. Harry Osborn leaning over to wipe bloodfrom his forehead was on his confirmed list of things that Peter would havedone anything to avoid. And yet.
And yet, that was exactly what he seemed to be doing,with his forehead so creased in concern that Peter could have laughed. Heprobably would, later, but his blood felt too much like ice. There were certainparts of his life that he deliberately kept separate, and this was walking thatline. Too close, too dangerousâabort, Parker.
It was only dried blood, and in a brief and incrediblyrelieving moment, he was grateful that he had remembered to change out of thesuit. And, really, he should have checked his face before he showed up to meetHarry. It was a rookie mistake. He had already been running late, though, andnothing had seemed more important than getting there, so he had slippedup. But the rag wiping at his forehead was so gentle, and it nearly feltout of place after the fight he had just put up. More than that, it felt so nice.And if he leaned into the touch a little, he tried not to think too much aboutit.
Instead, he offered a smile, waving a dismissive hand and ( veryreluctantly ) leaning back. âOh, hey, itâs fine, dude. I would say âyoushould see the other guyâ, but that guyâs a pothole. Not my best moment.â
⤠=kissing them/p>
Um.
His whole body was still, breath caught in his throat and thoughts coming to a crushing halt. Peter was keenly aware of soft lips against his own and ahand on his shoulder, but that was where his brain short circuited. Kissingwasnât unfamiliar by any means, but this? Harry, his brainsupplied, finally, and he almost made an embarrassing choked sound at that. Oh God,he was kissing Harry. Or, Harry was kissing him? And that, oh g o d , that was both too much and not enough. And in his stillness, Harryhad started to draw back, which Peter really could not have.Â
Scrambling for something, anything, to keep the kiss from ending, he reachedout to grasp a handful of Harryâs shirt, tugging him back in. He couldnât pin point exactly why Harry had kissed him just then, but it didnât feel like a surprise. And he would have tried to identify the catalyst, but - shit, his train of thought derailed again, and that was it. Later, he told himself; later was fine.

GET TO KNOW ME MEME: [2/10] favourite male characters
Âť Peter Parker (The Amazing Spider-Man)
âI donât know. Just, uh⌠Um⌠I donât know, we could, I donât know, we could uh⌠Or we could do something else, or we could, with no⌠We, like, we couldâŚâ
this life is not an easy one⌠iâve made enemies, powerful enemies, put those i love in danger. but the one thing that has haunted me my entire life â is finding the truth about my parents.
Stan Lee says that the reason why Spidey is so popular is because all of us can relate to him, and I agree. I needed Spidey in my life when I was a kid, and he gave me hope. In every comic I read, he was living out my and every skinny boyâs fantasy of being stronger, of being free of the body I was born into, and that swinging sensation of flight. And upon receiving his power, unlike most who have become corrupted, he used it for good. And I think that we all wish we had the courage to stick up for ourselves more, to stick up for a loved one more, or even a stranger you see being mistreated, and Peter Parker has inspired me to feel stronger. He made me, Andrew, braver. He reassured me that by doing the right thing, itâs worth it. Itâs worth the struggle, itâs worth the pain, itâs worth even the tears, the bruises, and the blood. [x]

There is a part of us, in every single one of us, where we have been exiled or cut off or disowned, and it does speak to where that can lead you. Sometimes you do have a choice, and sometimes you get driven to things, and I think itâs really important to show people â in terms of valuing themselves and each other â what the fallout could be.
âUhââ Peter stared, eyebrows arching impossibly high on his forehead, at the flowers being thrust in his direction. It honestly shouldnât have surprised him; after every other unexpected turn Wade took, this wasnât exactly a far reach. Even so, the gesture was strangely nicer than it could have been ( honestly, he was counting his lucky stars that the mercenary hadnât pointed a gun at him, instead ) and Peter was admittedly hung up on that. Waitâokay, no. To catch him off guard was probably Deadpoolâs goal, with the godforsaken flowers of all things, and that was enough to snap him back to the moment. He cleared his throat and gave his best attempt at looking unamused, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes with purpose. âRightâŚyeah. Just so that youâre aware; you are absolutely the weirdest person Iâve ever met.â
â = teaching them a different language
It wasnât meant to be a lessonâreally, it wasnât. But when a civilian had shouted something in Spanish ( at least, Peter was upwards of eighty percent certain that it was Spanish ), Wade had shouted something back. And before he could do the logical thing and bite his tongue, Peter had asked after the meaning, and regretted it an instant later. Well, he wished that he had regretted it, but it was difficult not to give his full attention to Wadeâs blur of words and excited gestures. In most cases, he could try to roll his eyes and move on, but this was monumentally different. There was almost a sort of contrast, with the smooth flow of a foreign dialect falling from the mouth of someone whose language was generally so crude. And maybe Deadpool was reiterating foul jokes and innuendos in Spanish, but it sounded admittedlyâŚnice.
( Well. Nice was a strong word for Wadeâbetter dial back a few notches. )
A reluctant small smile played at Peterâs lips, somewhere in between impressed and intrigued, and for once, he didnât bother asking the merc for silence. And when he stopped for breathe, Peter found himself tilting his head to the side, biting back an amused grin. âUh huh. So, should I be worried about what the hell you shouted at that poor guy?â
⢠= falling over
Peter snorted. Somewhere in the far reaches of his mind, he thought that the noise might come back to bite him later on, when he was teased relentlessly, but it was worth it. So worth it. Deadpool was in a heap on the ground,  rant about some inane subject put on hold, and that was hilarious. The best thing that had happened to him all day, actually. The ever-capable, trained mercenary had tripped. If the universe was planning to pay him back for the years of brutality, he figured this might have been a decent start. Bent over, hand clutching his stomach, Peter shook his head in wonder. âDude. Oh my god. I wish I had a camera.â
â = stabbing them
Shit. He jolted, almost like he had been shocked, mouth falling open and body shuddering as he hissed in pain. There was a blinding heat starting in his side, stretching impossibly quickly through to his gut. The world felt strangely far off, and all Peter could only take note of the sharp and building pain there. Â His head throbbed from where it had smacked the wallâthe only thing still keeping him up at this point, if he was in fact still uprightâand he looked around blearily. There was a loud gasping and sputtering, and it took him a moment to realize that, oh. That was him. The familiar mask lingered in front of him, Wadeâs seemingly nonstop rant sounding unintelligible and loud, and Peter felt the sharp feeling make itself apparent again. He whimpered, head blurry and any attempt of shouting at the mercenary lost in his throat.
Blindly, save his frazzled senses, Peter dropped his weight and kicked out, foot colliding with Wade. âReally? I alwaysâŚexpected you to stab me in the back, notâŚnot the gut.â His voice was garbled and he sounded tired, but Deadpool wasnât getting the satisfaction of killing him. His body ached, and bile threatened to rise in the back of his throat, but he forced himself to move. To stay awake.
âBio-chem it is!â he agrees readily, and thereâs a bit of a flourish when he walks into the elevator, a twist-turn to face Peter. Heâs got this. âObviously thereâs some high-class confidential development that weâll keep you away from, but those are all behind closed doors anyway. But whatâs got your interest in bio-chem land?âÂ
âRight, right. Of course.â Peter nods quickly, unable to keep a grin from tugging at his mouth. The elevator moves too slow for his tastes, limbs restless because holy crap, heâs actually about to see Tony Starkâs bio-chem labs, and that seems too good to be true. But the man himself is so vibrant in personality, with all of the flourishing and eccentricity, and Peter canât help but feel a little starstruck. He shrugs, smiling and shifting his weight a little. âUh, I guess Iâve been aâŚbig fan? For a while now. Years. I was a bio-chem major, actually. So, I couldnât really pass this up.â

Prior to the bunker, Cindy had managed to get the first generation apple iPhone and thought technology couldnât go any further because that had been revolutionary. Sheâd been pretty wrong. Since then, the girl had been tinkering with everything and there she was, with the huge new iphone. Trying not to look like a total nerd as she zoomed the camera in and out, Cindyâs silk sense lit up once she felt someone approaching her, or just in her ray of personal space.
She turned to figured out who it was, hoping she wouldnât be late back to work again. Bad guys didnât usually care about that kind of stuff.
Peter tensed, senses skyrocketing as if he had been struck, and he looked sharply to the left. Blocks down, he could feel that same, familiar presence from before. Cindy. It felt like a pull. Something purely magnetic and impossible to ignore. Even back when they had met, their connection had felt irrepressible, and it had puzzled him just as much then as it did now.Â
A beat of hesitance passed before he bit his lip and sighed, tugging his mask down and detaching himself from the wall of a building to swing down a few blocks, towards the pull. It wasnât that he didnât want to see Cindy, because honestly, she was great. Someone he would want to be friends with, without a doubt. But the magnetic aspect of their interactions was mildly off putting. Though, if he could actually explain it, it might be easier to deal with.
His feet hit the ground just past a street corner, shadows falling over him in order to hide from any wandering eyes. He eyed her for a moment, unable to keep from smiling a little when she tucked away a phone. Huh, so she was catching up with the times. Neat. âI think your phone is more recent than mine. Not sure how I feel about that.â
Peter could write a bookâseveral booksâdetailing the seemingly endless list of strange things he encountered while out on patrol. Just when he thought he had seen the weirdest, something appeared with what he assumed was for the sole purpose of proving him wrong. And while he had seen a lot, the cloaked figure standing at the street corner would have made it within the first two chapters, without a doubt. Peter hesitated, senses prickling enough to mean danger, but not enough for him to do anything. Yet. Instead, he regarded the figure carefully, taking a few leisurely steps forward. âSo, you come here often?â
