Two conversational titles which begged for typographic responses.
Squiggles: Cardon Webb. Bricks: Jon Gray.
STREET is a beautiful, haunting video by James Nares playing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art right now (1hr, continuous loop). Music by Thurston Moore. It is the centerpiece of an exhibition he curated from the Met's permanent collection.
From the artist:
My intention was to give the dreamlike impression of floating through a city full of people frozen in time, caught Pompeii-like, at a particular moment of thought, expression, or activity…a film to be viewed 100 years from now.
—James Nares
"Ere. Where can I buy this tea towel?" Cover by Jamie Keenan.
Years ago I was dragged along by a friend to see the film, A Room With A View because she had a thing for Daniel Day-Lewis who was also in My Beautiful Laundrette. I barely knew who E. M. Forster was, but was quite willing to look at pretty boys with floppy hair (and there were plenty). The film was utter—spellbinding—perfection from start to finish; so spellbinding in fact that we sat through it twice. Years later, I discovered that the book was pretty good as well. —MW
Found this Edward Gorey cover in the stacks...

A nod to Evan Gaffney, Esq., the consummate professional.
The first design by Joan Wong arrived from the printer! What a debut.
