"I suppose with this age of interesting hair, ours really isn’t much to look at." Ororo laughed, a small shake of her head. "As long as what they.. compliment you on isn’t too brash that is." She added a touch of reproach in her voice now, not fond of the idea that her daughter was getting catcallers and leers of the like.
"Of course not, she’d up and ready to play that one- its a terrible mission to get her off to bed sometimes." She blew the air through her nose, the most recent addition to her family was all to fond of staying awake when her parents wanted sleep, it seemed. "And T’Challa won’t mind, love, you are her sister after all." Taking her daughters hand she spun on her hell, dragging Kendall down the hallway. "Now come, child."
Kendall could hear the small touch of worry in her mother’s throat, the same that her father held whenever they went out. It seemed both Ororo and Logan disliked the idea of men catcalling at their daughter, but Kendall was trained-by Logan himself-and she was able to handle most things that came her way, without powers.
She watched in surprise as her mother took her hand and brought her to her half- baby sister’s room. To resist Ororo would be a breech of some sort of protocol, even though Kendall was technically her daughter. “I still feel like I’m intruding-“
Ororo shook her head clear of such thoughts, and plastered a wide smile onto her face. Kendall was a grown up- she had to remind herself. No matter her feelings on the subject.
"My child, this is your home every bit as it is mine- should we say home is where the heart is. If you ever need anything please do come to me, I’d like to be as involved as I can." Ororo said, pausing just outside a large door and giving her eldest daughter a sincere look. "Our blood is the same, love, nothing can take that from us."
Kendall nodded her head in understanding. A certain feeling washed over her as they reached her baby sister’s door-and with that came a feeling of panic. “Is she sleeping?” Kendall asked, as gently as she could. Would the baby like her? Would she be repulsed by her? Kendall knew she wouldn’t be repulsed by her baby sister-T’Challa and Ororo were very attractive people-but Kendall was worried that her baby sister wouldn’t like her.
"I believe so, she'll be up in a few moments though." Ororo laughed, leading the girl into the room and scooping to pick up her daughter. "She can only ever get a few moments of sleep in the day- too much is going on." She started rocking the little girl in her arms, and walked over to Kendall. "This is Mawusi, your little sister."
