My Rose Colored Glasses

Sometimes I feel like I am screaming at the top of my lungs, and no one can hear me. Like all that I am made of is icky and crappy. I could be in a room full of people and still feel utterly alone. its Like the weight of the world is resting simply on my breastbone. And If my past has taught me anything its that I am unlovable. And somehow this has made some feelings uncontrollable. I couldn’t tell you where the pain started, how it began ive been falling through life face first like a terrible stunt man. I cant always put words to the hurt sadly, It has caused me to become quite the introvert. Now, I wish sometimes the movie behind my eyes would stop That it wouldn’t be part of my lifes backdrop Its like I live through every bad thing over and over again feeling it as much in my mind as I did in my body then. Im unsure as to when but Sometime along the way I forgot how to smile feeling always like my life was consistently some sort of trial. I imagine sometimes how much easier it would be for everyone if I didn’t exist That for plenty of people around me would see it as some sort of gift. Imagining my funeral is always particularly painful Its hard not to think that people wouldn’t be disdainful I cry in the bath tub and try not to put my head through the wall Feeling so incredibly misunderstood and so very very small. I promised the only person I really love that I wouldn’t do that anymore Not hurting myself shouldn’t feel like a chore. Its hard to feel pretty when you feel like you are made out of slime When your only salvation is to make these little rhymes. I would do almost anything to not feel numb To really believe someone cared about my outcome. The itch to hurt myself for some reason calms me And why that is unfortunately is far beyond me.
