The Philosopher

And plunder though their lies

They don’t believe themselves

But force themselves to laugh

As they keep me chained

To live with all my pain

And the visions that I have

They will not let me through

But nothing matters to you

Nothing matters but you

I look to sky and see it cry

But all I ever wanted

And we use science as cover

To mask what we discover

But does that really matter

Capturing light

I am here

There is a point beyond imagining

In the depths of despair

You realise I am not in these words

Yet here I am

I am not entirely good,

Not entirely bad

A being scraping at the shell

It wants to be free

But it can’t

It cannot be free,

since there is no cage

The freedom I crave cannot exist

I want to be seen from all angles

and be loved

But I am disgusting

We all are though

We all do horrendous things

If you think you haven’t

God help you

I believe we are all good

We are all the heart of angels

Yet we are covered in spines and beady eyes

We cower at the other selves

Yet can only be ourselves

Sincerity is dead
