I still have a couple TGM fics in my WIP folder, but they've been there a couple years and I don't see them getting out anytime soon, which is a bummer.

However, I have been keeping up with some of Monica Barbaro's other projects, which means I just watched season two of FUBAR, which is Not Good, but I definitely did enjoy parts. And it's Not Good in a way that feels like there was potential, with better writing, for something really fun. I now I really wish I was the type of writer who could get longer stories done, so I could try writing my own version. But I'm not 😭

And now I've realized that clearly the progression from there is Hangman calling Phoenix "babe", which would naturally make Bob Babe's Other Boyfriend

i mean like…. i liked magic but not enough to consider it an interest, but i guess you could say i was a fan? i would watch a magic show bc i thought it was cool

i had a mix of low and medium knowledge? like no i didnt know how the spoon or mirror box tricks worked but i did know how to flip/change a card and how the rain trick worked

NYSM AU 👁️👁️?? NYSM AU, you say 👁️👁️??

I enjoyed the NYSM movies, but I also think a lot of the pieces they had could have been arranged differently (better). And also there's stuff that narrative-wise that I personally don't like (example: I'm almost never a fan of all-seeing, all-knowing organizations), and points in the movie(s) I don't think they played fair with the audience.

But I like the concept, the mix of characters, and I love a con/heist story. So I have this vaguely coalescing plan for a canon-divergent AU. (Diverging before the movie begins, so anyone who's seen the movies will still have to play along, assuming I write it.)

Unfortunately, I'm more of a character sketch/short story writer. So I doubt my own ability to write it. But it's an intriguing enough idea that I might manage to produce a few pieces.
