[The barb is automatic, a lifeline jab thrown out for a return to normalcy, but Zoro still looks mildly defensive. And a little guilty.]

[He's silent for a moment, just... sitting comfortably. Letting the quiet stretch. Finally, when he does speak, his rumbling voice is devoid of judgement.]

You gonna give him back, yet? Or does he still need some time?

[ Luffy gladly accepts the kebab, eating in happy silence next to him. He’s long finished with it by the time Zoro finally speaks. He doesn’t turn to look at him, instead looking out at the ocean. ]

There's a difference between rest and hiding. One is necessary. The other is cowardice.

[He goes quiet again, letting the ocean's general noise and the chatter of the Thousand Sunny behind them fill the space where words should be. When he speaks again, it's accompanied by a sigh.]

He's not a coward. Never has been, long as I've known him. And he needs to remember that, too.

[He finally turns to look at his captain, grey-green eye piercing and unreadable.]

[ He frowns, furrowing his brows. ]

[He listens to Luffy speak a little while longer, the unsteadiness for just a moment bleeding through. 'It's unnatural.' Yeah... it probably was.]

[ He waves his hand dismissively, then pouts. ]

[He takes another pull from the bottle, noting the change in name. He didn't bother to correct him— no point. ■■■■ called them all whatever he wanted.]

…..Is there anything else you want from me..?

[He offers the bottle, holding it out once again without looking.]

[ He grins and pulls it from his hands, immediately chugging probably far too much. He seems to realize his mistake the second the bottle leaves his lips, pulling a pretty disgusted face, followed by a shiver. He presses the bottle back at Zoro. ]

[Zoro's outstretched hand is too late to stop the sudden chugging, torn between minor annoyance and concern— but concern wins out.]

Hell, you don't even remember your body's own tolerance, do you—

[He sighs, taking the bottle back. He's settling in for the long haul, now.]

Fuck. Alright.

[His free hand runs through the short strands of his green hair as he exhales through his nose. This is happening now.]

[ He frown, arms crossed, practically pouting. ]

[The corners of Zoro's mouth twitch at the pout. He's fighting back a smile.]

[ He frowns further, shaking his head in disapproval, arms crossed tighter. ]

[ He smiles at the thought, then immediately frowns, stomach growling. ]

Sashimi, too. Think we've still got some of that good fatty tuna left. That, and a ponzu sauce, sweet and just a liiiittle salty...

And I haven't even started on the desserts the cook is probably making right about now. I heard Curly was experimenting with bacon-topped maple ice cream. In a waffle cone.

[Zoro reaches over and, with the subtlety of a cannonball, claps Luffy on the shoulder.]
