This isn’t mentioned in Brotherhood, but the reason Roy and Riza came to Resembool scouting out the Elrics is because someone fucked up the ages on Ed and Al’s file.

Literally Roy and Riza are riding in the back of some horse-drawn carriage into Resembool chatting with the driver like “yes we’ve heard rumors of two alchemist brothers here, Ed and Al Elric ages 31 and 30 respectively. Do you know where they live?” And the driver pretty much answers with “lol what? Those kids are like 10.”

Except now Roy and Riza are already THERE so they decide “Fuck it. Let’s pay a visit anyway.”

So everything that went down in the series is thanks to some mysterious fuck up in the Amestrian Intelligence Department and I salute that person.

Imagine if Olruggio was first introduced to Coco when he came out of his room one morning to join Qifrey and the girls for breakfast.

He's exhausted because he's just got back from his previous clients and had little sleep from working on his latest commissions he just sits down at his place at the table and does a quick head count for all 5 of them.

Qifrey? Check. Agott? Check. Tetia? Check. Richeh? Check.

Then his eyes land on Coco and he has an internal panic as he tries frantically to remember the name of the fifth member of their Atelier. Meanwhile Coco is looking back with wide eyes which makes Olruggio panic even more with guilt because how could he forget her name-

He turns to Qifrey who is just smiling as he hands over Olruggio's plate of food.

"That's Coco," he supplies her name.

And Olruggio's like 'Ah, yeah, Coco! Wait, Coco?' and he spends the whole breakfast half-asleep trying to remember Qifrey's 4th apprentice until he wakes up properly and realises that none exist because Qifrey's not supposed to have 4 apprentices.

Agott as a character is so special to me. At only 12 she allows herself the space to have a crush on a girl and is not ashamed of it (as much as agott can be). As a young lesbian myself, growing up without that representation i believed for the longest time that queerness was something that was stumbled upon later in life, not something a person is born with. Young queer kids having characters like agott as representation means so much to me omg.
