“When will everything just become easier?” 

“You alright? What’s going on, mate?”

Thom looked at her. What was she doing? Did she really knew all about this. Thom didn’t want anyone to find out about him being a werewolf. So he decided he should keep it vague. “Well, I only heared that there is some sort of animal/creature in town. But I don’t know much more then that.” 

“Ah okay. Well it’s good that you got to be a senior right?” Thom smiled. But when she mentioned the other thing about the stories. He didn’t really knew how to reply. He knew that there is supernatural around him. And he got the feeling about some students in his year. But this girl wasn’t supernatural, was she? “Yeah, I uhh... heard some stuff..”

“I shoud check that out then.” He smiled. “Yeah, I am. I came her like a two months a go. It sucks coming in here, in senior year.” He said, looking down at his hands. “But, I like the place.”

Isaac laughed, the boy’s whispers loud to his hearing. “Welcome to the endless hell of the American schooling system. Would you like the fast track to damnation, or eternal slow burning suffering?”

Thom laughed at his remark. “Please show me the way to damnation. At least for science, yes.” The boy laughed. “I haven’t seen you around, do I? I’m Thom.” 

“Oh yeah sorry. I’m Thom. Nice to meet you..” Thom smiled at the girl. “Ah, I like mythology. I wish they would tell us more about it in history class. But whatever. Are you in any class with me?” He asked, noticing her trying to change the subject.

“In the middle of all of this?” Theo asked dryly, referring to the heavy subject of the Dread Doctors. 

“Yeah, umh...” Thom warely said. He didn’t really knew what to talk about now. I mean he knew something defenitely was going on in this town. But he can’t put his finger on it. “I just need to get a good grade.”

“Well I have a 4.0 in AP Biology so I think I’ll be able to figure that out.” Lydia laughed before pulling out the seat next to him and sitting down. “When a chapter is tough to concentrate on it usually helps me to start highlighting things. It sounds weird, but it pulls your focus back.” Lydia took a highlighter from her bag and handed it to Thom.

Thom was surprised she wanted to help him. I mean they haven’t really talked before, but she seems very nice. “Well, thank you lydia. Okay... soo I guess this is pretty important: Van Der Waals bond, Ion bonds, and that stuff right?” 

Thom arched his eyebrows at the word ‘mythology’ Did she happen to know about the supernatural world? Does she know about werewolves? “Aw, well that’s interesting. A vicious creature? What do you mean by that?” 

Lydia was in the library returning some books when she noticed a boy who looked like he was struggling with material. Whatever he was learning, Lydia was almost positive she’d be able to help. “Everything alright? Do you need help with that?” She asked, motioning to the open textbooks on the table.

Thom didn’t see the girl coming. To concentrated on the books in front of him. “Oh lydia, hi! Yeah, well.. It’s just science has been a pain in the ass. Like normally I kinda get the stuff. But this chapter is just hell.” He sighed.

“Thom…  Burning the midnight oil?” Theo asked. The new addition to Scott’s pack was still an unknown factor, one he wasn’t sure he could afford to leave to the rest of his pack. His cover with Scott remained in tact. That wasn’t enough.

Thom looked up from his book. Surprised someone has come up to him. And even more suprised that someone heard him. Well... Unless that someone was a werewolf ofcourse.. “Theo, umh.. Yeah, got a big test tomorrow.” Thom said, trying to get back to his studying.
