Get to see a little more of some of the other kits here. They're making the best of things while Driftpaw is trying to figure out the best way to care for several kits all on her own when she's still a new apprentice herself.

Time to enter the first chapter of the young cat's lives as they struggle to survive. Is this cover a sign of things to come? Or of things past? Only one way to find out.

The small group return to their old camp to find the ruins of it, and the scattered remains of their clanmates. Now the choice is, stay and cleanup, or find a new place to setup camp

With the old camp coming into view, a terrible sight lays ahead for the displaced young cats. Just how horrible of a fate had struck their previous clanmates?

Having successfully waited out the storm and sweeping fires, the apprentice begins her journey back to the camp with the the kits. The land is devasted but some still remain hopeful for their future.

After suffering a severe storm that resulted in majority of the clan being stuck in their camp where they were killed by a large forest fire, Driftpaw is determined to protect the only surviving clanmates which are only a few of the kits. She has no idea how she's going to do this on her own, but with all the kits looking to her for guidance, she's determined to do her best. Though she's doubtful Starclan is even out there after letting the clan die, but she is hearing some ghostly whispers of guidance....
