Hello, this is Scott the cat. I have successfully taken control of this tumblr.

The Great Toronto Fire of 1904 destroyed 104 buildings in an area bound by the railway tracks to the south, Melinda Street and Wellington Street to the north, Yonge Street to the east, and York Street to the west. The destruction cleared the way for a new third Union Station to serve the growing needs of the City of Toronto. The Grand Trunk Railroad acquired the land for the station in 1905, and construction began in 1914 with the third and current Union Station officially opening in August 1927.
