I’ve never seen that abc show 911 but I’d like to imagine an alternate reality out there where 911 is regarded as the grounded, prestigious, emmy nominated show about the life of a 911 operator/firefighter/cop (I think?? Idk again I’ve never watched it) meanwhile the pitt is the more schlocky, unhinged show where every episode is like “dr robby, the bubonic plague just hit pittsburgh‼️😱😱😱”

me worrying about my first day of work and then remembering that dennis whitaker had his phone go off loud as hell during a moment of silence, crushed his finger, had a patient die on him, got blood squirted in his face, got pissed on, splashed medicine all over himself, had blood thrown up on him, had to help in a mass casualty event, and pulled his boss out of a panic attack, all while being homeless and not even getting paid for it

oh my god I just remembered just a few episodes ago langdon asked mckay if she wanted a hug and she said “god no” only to end the season with her giving javadi a hug

I appreciate the Pitt for what it is as a grounded view of healthcare workers, and I like that all the characters, despite their flaws, are (at their core) altruistic and empathetic people. However, a small part of me yearns for a version of this show that is just messy. Not like Grey’s Anatomy/melodramatic kind of messy, but more like Succession where you look at all the characters and you’re like “jfc what is wrong with these people”
