When people ask me if I believe we can beat climate change
OK, OK so we have our work cut out for us. We all know we do.
From Canada's Rob Ford-style reputation at COPs, to countries like Australia, New Zealand and Japan stooping to new lows, to the U.S. being its typical obstructive self, there are no ambitious, equitable, binding outcomes in sight.
We all know this already.
But here's the thing: we are bigger than this. We are stronger, energized by our belief that another world is possible.Â
Our movement is incredible. Inspiring. Beautiful. It pushes us to reach higher, to dream beyond what's probable, and renews our faith that we can win this thing.
This website started off as me just venting some of my frustrations about the UNFCCC and COP19 - but it's grown into a space where we all share how we feel about this process. It reflects how interconnected we are, how we collectively feel both deep cynicism and overwhelming hope about the future of our planet.
Let's not forget to share that hope, to celebrate, and to remind ourselves of why we're doing this in the first place.
From the local grassroots to the international movement, we've got this.
You are all an inspiration to me!
