“I’m probably not saying that correctly”/“sorry for my pronunciation” = 👍 understandable! foreign languages often have sounds that aren’t used in English and learning to correctly pronounce unfamiliar phonemes is genuinely difficult even with help

“lol I’m not even gonna TRY to pronounce that 😂” = 👎 THIS is the problem, if treats languages other than English like they are inherently ‘weird’ or ‘overly complicated’ just because you aren’t familiar with them

Like, he's the epitome of self-interest; the closest thing real life can produce to a Randian hero. And by any reasonable standard, he's won at life! He's the richest man ever to live, and he's getting richer; he controls the channels of information and communication; the government of what remains the world's only superpower waits on his command. Folk friendin me from a local furry convention server asking "to be friends" without having any normal approach to doin' that (bringin up common interests).

They ask about my PFP and today i had this wonderful question:

First one I wound up blocking early on but the second and third both asked for "full body" references of it. And... I don't understand what the goal is for them?? Like, of all the designs to copy or steal I would not advise mine.

Very insistent on a "full body" reference.

AH THERE IT IS. Oof, they picked the wrong person. I may not have the skill, but I know art. I asked for a portfolio and am still waiting.

This is a red flag!!
