Better living through chemistry

So.. I took a massive leap out of my comfort zone this week. I went to a dr about I problem I was having.. and got help. And now, while I’m still very much adjusting to the rx I got, I feel like I (or my life ) is changing in ways that I can’t explain without sounding crazy.

It’s amazing to me how the smallest thing can make the biggest difference in how you feel. How you react. The way you think.

I feel healthy and rested and energized. Like I’ve just returned from a months vacation. So much so I woke up at 4am with the intense desire to go for a run. Which ... definitely isn’t me. So I laid there talking myself out of it lol

I feel horny and sexual. Like a part of me that went dormant a while ago has suddenly sprung back to life.

I feel blissfully happy.. I’m laughing at stuff and I’m so much less stressed about stuff. Even tho it’s the last week of uni and I have heaps of stuff to do, my anxiety isn’t through the roof anymore.

Im the type of girl who doesn’t even take vitamins.. but now I’m taking this, I feel like I’ve discovered a secret or something. How good we are meant to feel.

Don't wait...

It’s really easy to despair these days. The world is going more crazy by the day. Sometimes by the hour. And it’s so tempting to just give up. So tempting to stop caring about anything. Even worse, it’s easy to give in to our lowest impulses. To think that the immoral behavior all around us legitimizes us to stoop to the same low. Be just as negative. Feel just as much hate. Or in extreme cases be just as immoral. It’s easy to give up. You just have to do it once and it’s done. To stay positive in all this chaos is a constant effort. You have to decide time and time again to do what’s right. To fight, not just for yourself, but ultimately even for the people who are lost in the recent negativity. It’s easy to let go, to give in, to resign. And yet… You can also decide every single day to be a beacon of positivity. Because in the end it’s about you. You play the lead in your life. You can be better, no matter what anybody else does. Be the change. Be the positive example. Be the difference. Don’t wait for others to chance… begin to change the world inside yourself.

This is beautiful daddy and fitting on so many levels. I beam an awful lot since we met and I think it is a gift. But a gift that I can share as well. And so I often picture myself like a lighthouse, I allow your gift to lift me then I focus on reflecting the light and love you shower upon me back out into the world. In the hopes that I can keep it going and make someone else’s day a bit brighter too. And personally I think it is an honour to be able to do so. One of my favourite quotes is “be the change you wish to see in the world”. In this small way, we are. We are rising above these dreary, confusing times and choosing love. Choosing light. Purposefully opting to seek out and create positivity while weaving it into the fabric of all of our lives.
