Shades of blue

Many times have I felt detached, confused, and hopeless. But it was the law of God that brought me back to hope, joy and peace again and again. Why He would mind someone who is frequently self-destructive, unthinking, stubborn, I cannot understand. But my God calls me daughter, and that is the end of the matter. My hope is that as I obey each law, I see my Father’s heart, and in turn, become more like Him.

The reality of God is feels greater when you’re surrounded by His creation.

The little joys of life!

Having been at home for so long, the beauty of new sights startle me.

I’m imagining the delicious joy and jitteriness we get while waiting for something certain in the near future. Like a new job, or the visit of someone loved. And in the waiting, we make ourselves worthy of the event. Learning the culture of the new company (and finding ourselves developing greater interest in it), or dressing up for the loved one (and maybe cleaning the home in the process). Like waiting for heaven, the incorruptible, unchanging (no erosion by inflation here!) inheritance we have, we wait with joy, and in the process, work with zeal and purpose to make ourselves more worthy of heaven. Not because it earns us a place there, but because we already have an inheritance there.
