March 18, 2015 | by Bryne Yancey Based on what I know and have read about Tulsa, Oklahoma, it appears to be one of those big cities without much of an identity, or at least, without an interesting identity to outsiders. There are “boring” big cities all over the United States; for every New York, Los Angeles or Chicago there’s a Jacksonville, Charlotte or Tulsa, places that a lot of people live, but outsiders aren’t really sure why.

Slutever is a Philly-born/west coast-migrated two-piece that is way cooler than you. They’re everything you wanted from both coasts in the 90′s, but in a way that isn’t so trendy you feel obligated to roll your eyes. Eight drum clicks and this song is immediately your new jam for Summer 2014. Fuzzy driving major chords mesh with jaded lyrical content to leave you unsure if you should hug your friends or break stuff with a Louisville Slugger. Probably both – that would be as fun as this song. If you’re a fan of indifferent (yet pleasant and melodic) female vocal stylings with perfectly placed harmonies, you are going to have a good day when you hear this.
