We will be hosting Targaryen Week on our blog from the 9th of January until the 15th of January. Please join us in celebrating House Targaryen by creating gifs/graphics/fan art.

HOUSE MARTELL is a noble house founded by Morgan Martell during the Coming of the Andals. Their seat is Sunspear, on Dorne, Westeros. The Martell heir is to be named Prince or Princess of Dorne, as well as Lord or Lady of Sunspear. Their sigil is a gold spear piercing a red sun. The Martell family words are “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken”.

The captain of guards knew the prince he guarded. Once, long ago, a callow youth had come from Norvos, a big broad-shouldered boy with a mop of dark hair. That hair was white now, and his body bore the scars of many battles . . . but his strength remained, and he kept his longaxe sharp, as the bearded priests had taught him.

In 20 days DORNE-SOLSTICE begins! From June 1st to August 31st, we will be hosting a Dorne appreciation fest. All kinds of posts are accepted, including gifsets, graphics, fanart, meta, fanfictions, videos, etc. Please use #dornesolstice in the tags as it will make it easier to find your posts. We have also created a fic collection on AO3 specifically for the event and we encourage you to use the #dornesoltice tag on your fanfics.

You are invited to the Tourney at Summerhall, a single day event in celebration of the classic fantasy elements (and subversions thereof) in A Song of Ice and Fire!

This single day celebration was chosen for the summer solstice on June 21st, and the prompt is very general: we take all submissions from all people so long as they follow the spirit of the theme! Since the prompt is so general, under the cut there will be some examples for potential avenues to explore the theme with. But by all means, do your own thing! The expansive setting of ASOIAF provides such an incredible opportunity for creativity in so many ways, and we would love to see everyone interested find something in this theme that excites them.
