Today my horse bit me on the back of my thigh while I was bent over, brushing his front legs. 😔

Tank: oh so you release your (slight) rein pressure when I drop my head? Me: yes!!!!! Please bend at the poll and engage your back bb!!!! Tank: heh.. Lemme just try this trot even though you want to walk--- Me: Whoa, lemme just pull on the reins to slow you down---- Tank: *drops head* Well played, sir.

Good day. Good meetings at work. Bathed filthy horse. Checked on my mom and bonded with her pets. Snuggle time with my babies and some downtime with wine and tv. Behind on Christmas prep but so excited for it!

How to reconcile: horse's desire for barrel racing/speed bursts and rider's experience in hunter/jumper/eq? I'm thinking we should pursue competitive trail riding.

Right now I am engaging our hardest working employee via work email (she's night shift but I stupidly answer work email at all hours). Hope I am entertaining her and not egging her on. I worry about anxiety friends.

Tank is really good at hurting himself. Today he had a cut on his cheek, and I was bustling around the pasture picking up manure and lecturing him on his klutziness when I looked down and realized my hand was bleeding. Lol two of a kind. 🐴💥😐 Also the barn manager is building tank his own stall. I think everyone is concerned by how often he bleeds.
