Krevetki Sushi is a tasty variation on traditional sushi. It has crunchy cucumber, creamy avocado, and tangy mayo wrapped in seasoned sushi rice and nori seaweed. People who like sushi often choose this because it has the right mix of tastes and textures.
Ingredients: 4 nori seaweed sheets. 2 cups sushi rice, cooked. 16 cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined. 1 cucumber, julienned. 4 teaspoons mayonnaise. 1 avocado, sliced. Soy sauce for dipping. Wasabi paste optional.
Instructions: On a bamboo sushi mat, lay a nori sheet with the shiny side down. Cover the nori with a thin layer of sushi rice, leaving an inch of space at the top. Line up 4 shrimp, cucumber strips, and avocado slices down the middle of the rice. Put a teaspoon of mayonnaise on top of the filling. Use the bamboo mat to roll the sushi up tightly, and use a little water to seal the edge. Use a sharp knife to cut the roll into 8 pieces. Do it again with the rest of the ingredients. Put wasabi paste and soy sauce on top.
