Not so impossible, says Colman. “I fell in love with my husband the second I saw him. Proper thunderbolts,” she says. She met Ed Sinclair when she was 20 and they were in the same play; they have been together ever since. Cumberbatch is married to Sophie Hunter, a director and playwright. “And I did with mine, but I took 17½ years to get round to doing something about it,” he says. “Awwww,” sighs Colman, sentimentally. So happy he got there in the end 🤭. We tend to focus so much on finding our person and less on finding ourselves with all the lessons and experiences along the way. And in their case it eventually lead them back to each other probably all the stronger for it. 🥹
