The bible tells us that the heart is "the wellspring of life" (Proverbs 4:23), the source of our attitudes, words, and deeds. If we fail to keep our hearts clean, the st of our lives will stagnate and become dirty. After pondering in this, I realized that this is so very true. How can we serve God in the way we are best when our spring of life has been contaminated? And hence realizing the importane of keeping our hearts pure and maintaining it. Therefore, we need to consistently evaluate the purity of our hearts in prayer, asking God to reveal even the little things that contaminate us. As God reveals our wrong attitudes, longings and desires, we must remove them from our hearts.

I've always thought everything will be good as long as I continue to read the bible and serve with a fervent heart. But then one day I realised there is definitely something missing. The feeling of emptiness at times and the feeling of childishness that lurks toward the desire of the world - worldly satisfactions. Only until a friend reminded me of the importance of having godliness. Not only in things that we do, but also need to be reflected from understanding others. But this always brings up the question of how? How can we be more godly? 1Timothy 4 reminded me that godliness is putting our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially for those who believe. Then to continue to build on godliness we need to be diligent in what we do and how we act so that everyone may see our progress. We need to continue to watch our life and doctrine closely and persevere in them. Something I really need to reflect on. Build on godliness through the Spirit and staying away from worldly desires and temporary excitements.
