When you are loved by a poet,

You are surrounded by creativity.

Your world will be filled

with their thoughts and contemplations.

Your mind will often wonder their age,

due to their knowledge and accuracy of the world.

Your heart will be touched by

their attentiveness and honesty,

Then sting when you notice their pain and sensitivity.

And your lips…

they will often smile…

Poem ~ Flower of Love 🥀

Today on the writing and story platform, Neobooks, I lost my entire draft poetry book. 7 days ago, Neobooks’ website was down and had stayed as such until today with no explanation. I never knew this could happen on Neobooks’ site and decided to immediately transfer my poems to a different web doc, once the site came back online. And this morning, it did come back online.

I was so happy and excited to see the site up and started transferring my work to a Google Doc. However due to work, I had to put the task on hold. I still hadn’t found a safer alternative that was better than Wattpad, but I knew that storing it on Google Docs would keep it safe and protected, which was something I should have done all along. But now, my worst fear came true, all my work on poetry book is gone.

I had been building my poetry book for 3 years. It had a total of 64 poems in it! My goal was to reach 75-100 poems. Everything was there this morning, but I just checked it now after finally winding down from work and family, and all of my chapters come up as “Error 404: Content not found”.

I am so mad and scared rn! All I can do is report the issue, but I honestly doubt that will help! This is even more aggravating because I was planning to transfer all of my poems onto a safer format and website today! This is ridiculous! This is a warning to all writers.

People change like the seasons.

So always come prepared.

When seasons due change, you will be ready.

You won't be caught by surprise.

The season won't disturb your life. And you will still be you,

Even when the season changes again.

Poem: Happy New Year

It’s been hard hasn’t it?

Last year held a lot of pain,

Because truth was shown

and man’s nature was revealed.

I forgot what it felt…

To smile so big.

I forget how it’s like…

To not have any pain

Thinking about the past.

My chest feels light

And painful at the same time

My only regret!

Is that I didn’t give more love to myself.

But that’s going to change this year.

For I. Am. Loved,

Imagine…

Tree birds, singing while dancing through the air;

And bees humming in the foreground, as they attend to the flowers.

You see a colony of gnats hovering above the tall weeds,

And you feel the grass crunch under the weight of your feet.

With the glow of the sun now blinding your eyes;

You inhale and smell the herbal air.

The creaking of branches increases all around you,

Due to your presence alerting the treelife, to move on.
