Weepy Willow

So you have seen our lovely bath magic spells but you cannot take a bath. Maybe you don’t have a bath in your current residence, maybe you are physically unable to use bathtubs, maybe you’re just super stretched for time but want to get in some extra magical umph. Recreational Witchcraft is here for you. 

Shower disks are traditionally used in the aromatherapy world to relieve congestion and other flu-symptoms while showering via the use of essential oils, but we will be bumping up their magical potential.

Basic recipe:

1 cup baking soda 

1 tablespoon corn starch

1/3 cup of water

Muffin tins and muffin liners

Combine baking soda and corn starch (making sure there are no clumps), then slowly add in the water. Fill lined muffin tins about third of the way, then leave out for 24 hours to dry completely. Carefully take them out of the liners, add your essential oils, and place your disk somewhere in your shower that will allow them to dissolve slowly while you do your business. Bam. You’re done. 

Now onto the magic. All dry ingredients (herbs, spices, etc) should be added in with the baking soda and corn starch before the water is added. All essential oils should be added right before they’re used (so when they’re completely dry).

Cleansing and Purifying:

essential oil of rosemary

essential oil of lemongrass

dried peppermint leaves

dried lemon rinds

dried rosemary

Protection:

essential oil of lavender

essential oil of eucalyptus

dried basil leaves

dried lavender flowers

pinch of ground cloves

Glamour:

essential oil of sweet orange

essential oil of rose

essential oil of jasmine

crushed red rose petals

pinch of (body safe) glitter

Attracting Love:

vanilla extract

essential oil of jasmine

essential oil of ylang ylang

apple seeds

1 lavender flower

pinch of cinnamon

Attracting Money:

essential oil of patchouli

essential oil of juniper berry

dried mint leaves

dried thyme

This is no where near all the ways you can charge things so feel free to add to the list or send me other methods. I intend to go back and add to it occasionally.

Fire

Draw it on paper (or something safe to burn) and burn it

Draw it on a firework and set it off

Carve it into a candle, light it, and let the sigil melt away

Place it close to a flame to absorb the light and heat

Air

Draw it on wind chimes and hang them up

Draw it on a balloon, blow the balloon up, and pop it

Water

Draw it on something soluble and dissolve it in water

Draw it on a rock (or something non-soluble) and place it in running water

Draw it with something food safe on a tea bag and drink it (It’s more using a sigil to charge the tea, but whatever)

Draw it on yourself then take a shower and let it wash away

Earth

Draw it on something biodegradable and bury it

Transfer energy from previously charged crystals

Light

Place it in the sun or moonlight

Draw it with/in something that will disappear: lemon juice on paper, fog in a mirror, etc.

Paint it with glow in the dark paint, the light used to charge the paint and its own glow charges the sigil

Technology

Place it on/under a device that is plugged in and charging

Open the image on your computer and play a video game on top of it

Use the sigil as your background or screensaver or just leave it up for a while to be charged by the screen’s light and energy of the computer

Open the sigil in a paint or photo editing program, cut it to pieces, and delete them (like you would tear up a piece of paper)

Place the sigil on/near speakers and play music (match the music to the intent of the sigil)

Post the sigil on social media with the intent that it charge with every like/reblog/thumbs up/etc.

Personal Energy (Mental and Physical)

Direct your own personal energies into the sigil (How to)

Draw it on yourself or something you have on you as you exercise: dance, run, play sport, etc.

Draw it on the bottom of the shoe and walk around on it all day

Have the sigil on/near you and focus on it as you have sex/masturbate and orgasm

Have the sigil on/near you and focus on it while experiencing pain

Have the sigil on/near you and focus on it while experiencing extreme emotion

Add a drop of blood to the sigil

Other

Sing or play an instrument to it

Place it in a music box, wind it up and let the music charge it

Draw it on paper and tear the paper up

 PROTECTION SALT

Hello, everyone! In light of getting 700 followers, we thought that a new witchy creation was in demand from our newly-gained audience. Since I have not travelled much in my path, I thought it’d be useful to do my first thing associated with protection (no clue how I haven’t gotten my ass kicked yet). So, I made a salt!

In my path:

An enchanted object is an object that has become a spell.

Some objects will “hold” the magic better than others. Plastics and petroleum products are somewhat infamous for not ‘holding’ magic very well. Anything that was recently alive will hold magic well, including animal bone and hide, as well as woods. Things made from the earth, like clay and stone, are excellent; metals are also fantastic for holding magic. I have heard mixed reports about glass, and negative things about alloy metals. Paper will do nicely.

What happens if the spell doesn’t “hold”? The item will simply lose its enchantment over time, and the spell will cease working.

I work with the concept of “grooves” in magic. Like tiny lizard feet, magic can’t “stick” to a perfectly smooth surface. That is why our physical actions are needed to break up the surface of the situation so the magic can take hold. The more generic, unloved, artificial, and random an item is, the more “smooth” it is. The more an item has been personally crafted or altered, beloved, organic, and special, the more “grooves” it has for the magic to stick.

Grooves can be created by altering the item, or crafting it in a special way. Grooves can be created by,

 Sigils, symbols, and words added to the object

 Painting the object with corresponding colors

 Including stones of corresponding meanings and uses

 Including pouches or herbal washes of corresponding herbs

 Spending time with the object and filling it with intent

 Adding drawings or images to the item that correspond to the spell (such as a painting of the spell’s ideal outcome)

In an ideal world we would be able to fully craft our own enchanted objects, but realistically many of us are limited to cast upon whatever is at hand.

When the item has been fully created and 'grooved’, the enchantment can be cast upon it, hopefully with excellent sticking power.

Candle

Command and Compel Oil

Dress the candle to represent the person who you wish to banish. Coat the candle with C&C oil.

Take a piece of paper and write down your command to banish this person. For example, write, “Get out of my life!” Burn this paper and coat the oily candle with its ashes.

this salt mix is for love, self love or opening your heart. it can be used in spells and such.  i like to add it to my baths when i feel down, and let its soothing warm energizes envelope me, until i am no longer sad.

Supplies needed:

5 parts Pink Himalayan Salt

1 part Lavender

1 part Rose petals

1 part Rosemary

1 part Peppermint

mortar and pestle

jar for storing 

Valentine’s Magick For One

A pampering spell to help bring out that self-love and confidence for my lovely single witches this holiday

Materials:

Pink, red, and/or white candles

Sea and/or epsom salt

Lavender, Lotus, or Rose scented essential oil

Ginger

Cinnamon

Food coloring (optional) 

Rose Quartz

Paper pad & writing utensil

Spellwork:

Step 1. First things first, mixing and preparing materials! I recommend beginning this step the night before you plan to perform the spell.

In a small bowl, mix together your carrier salts with the oil of your choice, a bit of cinnamon [love and success], some ginger [love, prosperity, success, and inner strength], and - if you’d like to add a bit of color - a few drops of food coloring. Once you’ve thoroughly mixed the ingredients to create a magickal body scrub, hollow out a small hole and place a rose quartz stone in the middle ~ Leave the mixture to soak up energy from the rose quartz overnight or for 8-12 hours.

(Note: If you already have a body scrub that you prefer, feel free to use that instead! Or, if you’d rather buy one than make your own, that is perfectly alright too)

Step 2. Once your mixture has sat for awhile, gather up all you need. Because you will be scrubbing your body with the salts, prepare a nice warm bath or shower for yourself ~ Decorate your bathroom with the candles, dim the lights, and light them. Begin the spell by stepping into the bath or shower (Tip: make sure your salts are within reach, so you don’t have to get out to grab them!)

Step 3. Perform your normal bathing routine, imagining a shining light that flows with the water as you do, cleansing your body of any negativity or ‘dirt’; physical, mental, spiritual and magickal. Towards the end, scoop out a bit of your scrub and begin scrubbing it on your body ~ Visualize the salts buffing off the remaining metaphysical dirt; revealing a shining aura and leaving you feeling less heavy. Remind yourself of how lovely and wonderful you are as you do, or take the time to say a chant for beauty, confidence, and love! 

Once you’ve finished, wash the salts off and end your shower or bath.

Step 4. Pamper yourself! Wear a fuzzy robe, soft pajamas, a blanket, or any clothes that make you feel especially comfortable. Then, blow out all but one candle from your bathroom and carry it over to wherever you’d like to sit along with the rose quartz you used for the scrub earlier. Placing the candle beside you, pick up your paper pad and write down at least 20 things you love about yourself… and more, if you can! Write what you admire, write down some accomplishments you recently made that you are proud of, write what you enjoy about your appearance or personality ~ anything and everything. If you’d like to go a little further, write down some activities or hobbies that you especially enjoy.

When you feel you’ve written all you can, fold up the paper and store in a safe place for later. Whenever you’re feeling upset, anxious, or doubting yourself, take it back out and reflect on just how glorious you are ♡

Reserve the rest of the day for doing things that make you feel good ~ And remember, it’s Valentine’s, so - 

The intent for a spell is basically the goal you want to achieve from casting said spell. 

Common intentions include protection, love, healing, wealth, luck, and so much more - the possibilities are endless.

Intent should be specific; in fact, the more specific, the better. That way, your spell has exact directions on how to manifest. Some ways you can do this are by adding a date or time to your incantation - instead of “I will get a raise at my job” you can say “I will get a raise at my job by the end of the quarter” or something to that effect.
