tonight was tommy’s first night back since last summer, and toward the end of the shift, delia said, “wait, tommy, i’m actually, like, flabbergasted that you came back. no offense, but why? i didn’t think you fucked with us that much.” tommy shrugged and said, “erin asked me to, i dunno. what was i gonna do, say no?” reagan said, “lowkey that’s fair, whenever erin asks me to do anything, i’m scrambling before she even gets the words out,” and delia said, “no, literally. like, anything for my queen.” i said, “you guys have the weirdest conception of me in your heads.” delia said, “i’ve told you before, you’re Mother. Father? Parent. You’re literally Parent.”
also, chris showed me the meme from into the spider-verse, where miles is looking at peter and mimicking his 🤔 pose, and they said, “what i see whenever i look over and see tommy next to you. i’m like, ‘aw he wants to be just like erin when he grows up.’” i said, “there’s worse people to wanna be, i guess. i hope he’s a version of me who’s nicer to themselves.”
me: what’s been going on in your life, tommy? basketball? girlfriend? boyfriend?
tommy: basketball; yeah. the other part; i’m exploring my options.
me: well, it’s good that you have options. i had zero bitches in high school.
tommy: you have bitches now?
