I kind of want to be left alone.
Noah’s smile grew more genuine. He loved the way she was looking up at him right now. “No but I want to be the one who helps clean it up, if that’s okay with you.” He spoke as if asking permission. He moved his hand up to the side of her face, brushing a piece of hair from her face. “Exactly. They’re freaks but we love them.” He laughed lightly, “I swear to God I’ll keep your secrets.” His chest felt a little less tight when she agreed. She was trusting him. He could do anything with the feeling in his chest. “I’m not going to. Because with this realization that I’m okay with this, also comes a feeling of peace. I’m okay.”
Druella's nose scrunched a bit a in response as he pushed her hair back, forcing back a smile, "If anyone else were to say that, I'd probably have hexed you by now, or worse." She noted, giving a small nod as her eyes rested on his, "Maybe that's, because deep down, we know we're freaks as well," she half-smirked. Trust was never a thing that came easy to her, even before her life became a mess, though, here she was blindly trusting Noah. Letting him in, without even bearing to think of the possibility of consequence. "I know," she whispered, and in that moment, she did. There was nothing clouding her thoughts, she just knew. "Okay," she agreed, though Druella's words were short, the meaning behind them meant far more than any long explanation would.
