my one and only sansa opinion i think is that everyone within the story who has repeatedly told her that she's stupid and wrong to have dreams and want good things for herself, then made this 'naivety' out to be the reason for her victimisation by the selfish ambitions of men and women around her and the readers who interpret her character like this, are wrong. that is, i don't accept the premise of a young girl being punished for her innocence and idealism and said qualities being something that needs to be crushed to give birth to a more hardened mindset because the world is a cruel place etc. like that message might belong in a nihilistic series but asoiaf is not that. sansa to me, is a character defined by her idealism and that needs to be cherished. i don't want her to end the series as a skilled player of 'the game' or as a schemer or a stone cold competent manipulator or whatever, i want littlefinger to be proven wrong. when he told her yes, it's all lies and lies and lies (except for you and me of course!) and that she was wrong to dream of a better world. he was lying.
This is exactly how I’ve always felt about Sansa Stark. I’ve never liked interpretations of her where “growth” means becoming emotionally hardened, hyper-manipulative, stoic, or completely detached from the softness and yearning that define her character. Strength and hardness are not the same thing.
What makes Sansa compelling to me is that despite everything she endures, she still longs for beauty, love, tenderness, safety, devotion — all the things the world keeps trying to convince her are childish or foolish to want. I don’t think the narrative should punish her for that. I think characters like Petyr Baelish want her to believe that idealism and gentleness are weaknesses because cynicism gives people like him power.
That’s also why I can never fully connect with some interpretations that turn Sansa into this ultra-dominant, emotionally closed-off “master player of the game” figure, especially in relationships. Power doesn’t always have to manifest as coldness, control, or dominance. Sometimes reclaiming yourself means allowing softness to survive. Sometimes it means finally receiving the care and devotion you always deserved instead of becoming the kind of person who withholds it.
She’s stronger because of her softness, NOT in spite of it.
Angel of the Moon — Chapter 14 is out! 🩸🥀
Some cravings cannot wait.
And now… the tension between Sansa and Margaery can no longer be contained. Every glance, every touch, every heartbeat pulses with desire and need.
This chapter leans into that friction, that slow-burning hunger, the unspoken pull, and the intimacy that’s been building for so long. Closeness that lingers, that aches, that cannot be denied.
Thank you to everyone reading and sharing your amazing reactions—it’s a joy to see you living in these moments with them!!

And with it… everything begins to settle into something deeper. Quieter. More dangerous.
The past few chapters have carried Sansa through hunger, fear, and transformation — the forest, the mist, the pull of something ancient and familiar. And always, Margaery at the center of it all… steady, breaking, devoted.
This chapter leans into that stillness after the storm. Into closeness. Into what it means to stay.
Thank you so much to everyone who’s been reading and leaving such thoughtful, beautiful comments!!
