"You do not get to pick and choose. You make me king of all, you make me your king.” Zeus remained silent, barely managing to keep his expression stoic, to hold back the turmoil he felt beneath. Finally, as he turned to leave the room, the king spoke. “I am already a disgrace. If you are so disgusted by my rule, why haven’t you taken the throne from me? If you are so capable and so unhappy with my place as king, why? Why haven’t you put an end to it. If this is all your design, that is.”
Turning to look at his brother once more, his lips were twisted in a frown, quivering. “I know what I am. I do not need anyone to remind me. I do not need you to call me here and shove back in my face what is already crystal clear. It is best you keep your words to yourself unless they are to better the both of us. Nothing you have said is news to me. I’ll take my leave.”
"Think yourself a king all you want, but do not for one second think that I am under your rule, brother. I stand alone as king; you have done nothing to gain sovereignty over my domain. If you wish to be above me, try sitting on my throne for a week. Take on the responsibilities of the place you claim to also rule."
The quivering frown does nothing to Hades, his heart hardened by anger towards his brother. "You spoiled child. You know what you are, yet you stand there and openly act so impudent and superior towards one that has given their all so that you may be where you are. I care not what you do with your throne, Olympus is of no concern to me, but for you to ignore all that I have done for you is unacceptable."
