He smiled wide because his mother was everything that Lucifer said and more âWhatâs God like and heaven? Iâve always wondered but I never asked Aunt Anna about it when I should have.â
Lucifer choked on his own laughter before composing himself enough to speak.
âHeaven is beautiful, as fledglings, we were taught that it was a safe place where out father and siblings would always protect us. I believed in Michael, I trusted him to protect me until my death, and I was trusted with Gabriel. My fatherâŚis a coward.â his wings felt prickly as he spoke âhe thought all was good with the world, and then when, heaven forbid I began to form my own opinions about the world down here, he cast me down.â he had to stop talking or he would go on a rant and surely scare the boy away.
He listened to Lucifer with rapt attention his face turning grim as the other spoke of being cast out. His hand unconsciously reached out to Lucifer to offer comfort but he stopped himself unsure how it would be received. âSo life with your siblings was good though?â He asked hoping to direct the conversation in a hopefully happier direction. Hearing a yip he turned to see Cupcake come bounding over to him a squirrel dangling half dead from his mouth. He smiled over at his âhound and mussed up his ears.
âUp until father cast me down, yes. Normal sibling rivalry kinds of dealsâ he nodded â and who is this?â
He lifted his eyes to look back at Lucifer "This is Cupcake he's my Hellhound. I've had him since I was really little. He goes with me everywhere."
