"Our purpose here on Earth is not to live a life merely slaving toward an eternal afterlife. It is to live and thrive in a physical lifetime here on Earth. Then our purpose is done."
quoted from The Jasonic Verses, by the J-Ace Shaman. As published in The Tragic Pen blog on tumblr.
If you have come here from the C. Wilkerson stone at the Old Pioneer Cemetery on Rich Mountain, please email Jason Masters at [email protected], for more info about the tragedy of The Wilkerson Girl (known as Charlotte in my family), or if you have info to share about her, or the pioneer community on top of Rich Mountain, in Arkansas. I placed the stone there on June 22, 2024, and haven't built much into this page yet about her. There will be links here to more info soon. She was the first person interred at that cemetery...probably in 1860s or 1870s. Her family was sick, and she went into the woods to find some firewood, was treed by a pack of wolves, and froze to death that night. She still clung to the tree, even in death when they found her the next morning. The cemetery was built around her plot. Also, email me just to say you found the stone. Sort of a guest list.
