One of the things that occupies my brain a lot of what would sherlock think of certain books I love? The fault in our stars or gone girl? I've got to say I don't think sherlock would be a fan of tfios.

I Sherlock came to Cornwall: "Ross, America or India? Demelza, you have family but don't talk to them. Verity, your mouth is too small now. Francis? Compulsive gambler. Keren? Serial adulterer. Banker, shut up and turn your back.

Demelza always seeks Ross's approval even though she makes way better life choices than him. Why?

Every episode of Poldark: Judd gets drunk. They find copper. Someone dies. Francis shouts at Ross. Demelza does something nice which is apparently wrong. The bank gets more powerful.

The "Okay" in The Fault in Our Stars is a very special "Okay" It is not a "K" Or an "Ok" Those are to short. It is not an "Oh-Kay" That sounds whiney. It is not an "Oak-Ay" Cos that just sounds wrong. I don't know how to describe it. It is stressed on the latter sylable. It glides onto and off of your tongue, as fleeting as the lufe of Gus. It floats in your mind like the oxygen Hazel lacks and is as full of meaning as the fate of Sisyphus the hamster.

Why would Gavroche choose to die collecting amunition? He felt responsible for all his friends' deaths because if he hadn't started with "Do you hear the people sing" they wouldn't all have stayed and died. He knew they needed ammunition. If any of the others went for it they would have been shot down too. He knew that as a kid he could not make so huge a physical difference to he revolution as one of the students. By collecting ammunition and dying for it, be got them the gunpowder, died for his friends abd saved the life of whoever would have done it instead. That kid really deserved that medal.

The moment when Enjorlas holdd up the red flag as your heart breaks and he is pelted with bullets. To quote The Day Of The Doctor: "I've seen that, and I never want to see it again."

I can imagine Marius asking The Doctor to go back and set Eponine and Enjorlas up so that Eponine didn't sacrifice herself for Marius and he wouldn't feel so guilty.

Les Miserables is a tradgedy in the official definition: a great man falls. Javert was a great man who worked for what he believed was.the best. He fell when he allowed a good man to get to him. Javert was a great man: he gave Gavroche a medal. He fell when he jumped off that bridge.

Is it just me shipping Enjorlas and Eponine? They are both commited people who work hard and tirelessly for the people and the things they love, even if it hurts them. Their names even begin with the same letter!
