Episode 19 is here and it’s super sweet and fuzzy!

Pixie and I were able to travel down to Leander, Texas (near Austin) to meet some horses and people. The dogs were inside, unfortunately, so we weren’t able to meet them. However, it still turned out amazing even without the dogs because what these people are doing at South Wind Equestrian Centre is amazing!

They help people with PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and other trauma or emotional related issues cope by using something called ‘Equine Assisted Psychotherapy’.

Holy dang I got to do something special with this SURPRISE episode.

I was contact by Shaun Treat (from one of our most famous episodes) to film the story of a mom with a transgender son. The mother is on the Texas Association of Business and took the documentary to the Texas Legislature to try and help them defeat the proposed bathroom bill of Texas.

The Teardrop Project is NOT political. But we don’t consider loving one another and accepting the for who they are to be a political issue. So we were happy to help.

Plus we got to tell the story of a kid who has met both President Obama AND Luke Skywalker. So how could we say no?

If there's one thing I love more than tongue twisters, it's going to friends' Harry Potter themed weddings. Granted, it's only happened once, but, at least I had my camera there to film it!

I actually had a gig with this school I was doing a video for at the Denton Blues Festival. And it just happened to be next door to the Denton County Democrats booth.

With the 2016 debates in full swing, I decided to break away from tradition and do a special politically themed episode. Don't worry, there's no sides to be taken in this video, but instead, we talk about why there has been so much vitriol in the political discussion these days.

Dreamy Life Records is a record store, label, and recording studio located in the middle of a neat artistic and cultural center. And the store is run out of a small library, to boot! When I noticed they were still selling tons of cassettes and vinyl records, I just had to ask about the culture regarding what people might consider hip or authentic.

And guys. Cameron Smith has the same name as me! That’s bonkers. It was a little confusing in the initial emails I had with Dreamy Life, but, a blast when I actually got there.

I read on Facebook of a boy in my town that was selling lemonade to raise money for the fallen officers from the recent Dallas shooting. They were kind enough to let us make an episode on them even though we brought a huge gust of wind that made them close up shop.

In episode 9, I was fortunate enough to interview one of the most humble and sweet men I've ever met. Kyle Simpler, a second year Burleson High School (my alma mater!) teacher, recently had the surprise of his career when his students threw him a surprise birthday party. He was gracious enough to let me interview him about what happened after the video went viral and why he thought the kids were kind enough to do it.
