I finally finished my rose gold robot π
Pattern by @craftyintentions
Happy spoopy season, here's a rainbow skull shawl I made.
Pattern info will be in the notes.
Do you have a pattern to sell for the cute Shiverian seal from Mario Odyssey?
No, I don't. That is something I freehanded years ago, and even if I was still selling patterns (I'm not, per reasons I gave in my last ask), a Shiverian pattern would not be legal for me to sell due to copyright as that character is owned by Nintendo. I have no interest in receiving a DMCA notice.
Do you sell patterns
Right now we haven't been selling much of anything. Etsy is where I used to sell patterns, but with their fee increases and seller-hostile policies I'm not particularly wanting to go back there. If I sell any patterns in the future, it will probably be on a platform like ravelry. That being said, I became very discouraged with selling patterns as when I was previously, someone stole the pictures and created fake listings from my work. I have no idea if anyone bought from these fake listings, or if they received my pattern/nothing at all. I haven't really had the heart to sell patterns since then. If I do, however, I will post that to this blog.

PATTERN RELEASE!!
Sooooo hyped to finally get to release my amigurumi pattern for a sea bunny/sea slug!! I started writing this pattern in, I think, November and finally got around to finishing it! π huge thank you to my testers @thestitchedseal and others for double checking this pattern for me and making sure it was all correct!!
You can buy the pattern here!
Made a fun star fragment/Konpeito from sparkle blanket yarn. It also reminds me of star bits (Super Mario Galaxy, my beloved....). I think it makes for a really fun, decorative pillow. Should I make any other colors?
Pattern is the large version by sunnyGstitches on Etsy (linked).
Joining the nautilus from my last post is an octopus made from Crafty Intentions' Realistic Octopus pattern (available on their Etsy and Ravelry).
Finished a retro rainbow nautilus yesterday. You can't tell from this picture but everything white sparkles!
Pattern by @craftyintentions and available on their Etsy and Ravelry for purchase.
I made a chunky squirrel friend! Thinking of making pastel ones, what do you think? What colors should I make?
Bonus pic: the rough sketch I made of the squirrel as I was figuring out the design. It translated into a cute plushie!
Per an anonymous user's request I've cleaned up and included pattern notes for this little friend below (I was going to clarify a little for them anyway so I just decided to share with everybody). I've used standard American terminology for most techniques - the bobble stitch is the only one that is a little less standard so here are instructions for that per this pattern below:
Bobble (all done in 1 st) - yarn over, insert into next st. Yarn over, pull through st. Yarn over, pull through 2 hoops. Yarn over, insert into same st as before. Yarn over, pull through st. Yarn over, pull through 2 hoops. Yarn over, insert into same st. Yarn over, pull through st. Yarn over, pull through 2 hoops. Yarn over, pull through all hoops. If you find these instructions confusing, I'd recommend searching online for bobble stitch videos. There are a couple of different ways to do them, this is just what I used.
Everything is done in continuous spirals (do not join at end of round); eyes are 12 mm safety eyes. Embroider the nose as you see fit. There are only 2 pieces, the body and tail. The limbs and ears are made with bobble stitches. Tail shaping is done by utilizing slip stitches (sl st). Be a bit loose on sl st rounds to make it easier to sc in them in the next round!
Body:
6 sc in mc (6 sc)
Sc Inc in every st (12 sc)
Sc Inc in every other st (18 sc)
Bobble st. Sc in next 8 stitches. Bobble st. Sc in next 8 st (18 st total)
18 sc around for 3 rounds (54 st total; 18 sc in round)
Sc 4. Bobble. Sc 3. Bobble. Sc 9 (18 st total)
Inc in every 3rd st around (24 st)
Sc 24 (24 sc)
Sc 5. Bobble. Sc 8. Bobble. Sc 9 (24 st)
This round ONLY in back loops only- Dec across every 3rd and 4th st (18 sc)
Stuff body and add eyes
Dec across every 2nd and 3rd st (12 sc)
Dec around (6 sc). FO by closing up bottom.
Tail:
6 sc in mc
Sc Inc in every st (12 sc)
Sc Inc in every 4th st (15 sc)
2 rounds of 15 sc (30 total st, 15 sc in round)
Loosely, sl st 5, sc 10 (15 st total)
Sc 15 around (in sl sts and scs) (15 sc)
Loosely, sl st 5, sc 10 (15 st total)
Sc 15 around (in sl sts and scs) (15 sc)
[Sc 3, dec] x 3 (12 sc)
Stuff tail before closing
Sc 12 around (12 sc)
Dec in every st (6 sc)
Fold flat to close, sl st across. Leave a tail for sewing and once you've done that, you're done.
Please tag me in pictures if you make and share your projects, I'd love to see a squirrel army.

Hey, idk how active you are, but I was wondering if you could post a pattern for your squirrel?
I've spent hours trying to find one to make for my best friend for Christmas, but I haven't found any tutorials that are what I wanted.
Then I found your Tumblr post and squealed so loud I startled my dog who was sleeping in the other room
It would be amazing if you could post a tutorial/pattern for the squirrel, and I would be so grateful
Thanks

Hey Anon, send me a private message on @galacticsquish - that's my main - and I can share my rough pattern notes with you. When I make patterns for my own personal use without the specific intent of sharing I use a shorthand system (so I don't have a formal pattern that I've made that is in any way currently publishable). However, if you're an ambitious crocheter, I don't mind sharing my shorthand notes with you (I've still got them). Hopefully this explanation makes sense!
Bubble Tea Rex!
Complete with boba, a straw, and whipped cream with sprinkles on top, Bubble Tea Rex makes for a sweet friend.
This baby is part of what I hope will be an exciting concept to explore - cosplay T Rexes. This one is green tea flavored - what other flavors should I make?

I've recently been playing with fantasy amigurumi, inspired by fae dolls that I've seen by talented creators (go check out @thefaearbor, who makes lovely fae). When I saw the medusa design and pattern made by Fantasy Sprites on Etsy, I knew I had to make her.
This girl is going to be part of our personal collection and will not be for sale, but we have some other projects in the works coming soon - more of our typical cute style as well as some experimental pieces.
Mushfriends β€π
You can't tell from the pictures, but their bodies are made from a sparkly blanket yarn. Should we add these little babies to our regular lineup when we reopen our shop?

I'm quite fond of the lumas in Super Mario Galaxy. I don't think I ever really got over that game. It brings with it sweet nostalgia- when it first came out, I played it on the Wii non-stop over summer breaks throughout high school and college, with multiple 100% runs. I lost my mind when I found out they had rereleased the game on the Switch in 3D All Stars (and I finally got the chance to play Sunshine). You can see further rambles about creation of this big boy beneath the read more.
A lovely dumbo octopus family.
The safety eyes on that big boy are CHUNKY at a whopping 30 mm - definitely the biggest eyes I've ever used for amigurumi (some of our large sewn plushies have utilized iris ones). He's super soft, made from blanket yarn.
Should we make more wumbo-sized dumbos? I've been planning on an amigurumi shop update for the first time in a long time, now that my creativity has come back. What sort of plushies would you like to see us make, either new or old?
