This admittedly came out a lil weaker than intended, but I still think it's nice... I'll very much be drawing these two together again someday, they deserve better. Despite it being a pairing I adore a lot, this is somehow my first time drawing Asakura with Nagato, first time drawing Asakura period. Her hair was a real pain. I usually draw Nagato's hair simplified, kinda similar to how it's done in Haruhi-Chan. But with Asakura simplifying it made it look fairly worse. Still, she came out quite good. Funnily enough Nagato is a bit more gutted here than usual, mainly her face. But I'll obviously draw her again sometime to make up for it. Truth be told, I wish the posing came out a little "cooler." I really need to experiment more with making simple ones look good. I think this was fine all things considered but still. I maybe could've leaned more into Asakura being more "active" compared to Nagato's "staleness", but I feel I got it across okay. Could've had this out yesterday because Japan timezone moment but hey it was April 2nd there, and now it's April 2nd here, so whatever.

So just three different subjective reasons, really. If I had worked on an AoCF translation in a vacuum and had complete editorial control, I probably would've considered doing it there too, but am not looking to start changing the standard anywhere outside of this book. Here I do have control, though!
