Some proper photos of my Suwako cosplay

I wouldn't actually mind showing my face now, but i censored it anyway just because it doesn't look good in any of the photos lol

Even though in the end i had to rush some stuff, and i feel like its pretty shoddily put together as a whole, i think this is my best looking cosplay so far. It turned out pretty close to what i imagined!

Especially the hat, painting plastic ornaments on the inside gave the exact glossy kinda look i wanted for the more realistic frog eyes. very happy. also a huge improvement over my old suwako hat lol

I also put a lot of effort into making the frogs look nice this time! So theyre proper appliques that i spent ages satin stitching around. I also wanted them to be accurate so i printed out photos of the frogs from chouju giga scrolls that suwako's dress is referencing. The backside has some extra ones i also took from the chouji giga scrolls so it wouldnt look empty

yeah the tabard is like my second favourite part of this i think. for something i just kinda bullshitted a pattern for it ended up fitting well when i put in the red cords, and it was a lot of fun to add the gold trim and details

AND the purple fabric was something i found in a thrift store!! literally was just barely enough to cut out all the pieces lol. the green fabric for the frogs is leftover from the fabric i used for mamizou's haori, and the white was some fabric i also got at a thrift store but haven't found a proper use for yet. yay for not buying all new materials

I should also talk about the wig... it was my first time actually styling one, and well, its alright...? I cut it a little short but Suwako looks alright with shorter hair so it's okay, and the glued hairline turned out. good enough...

But yeah, in the end even though theres a LOT i wish i did better (i did not even talk about the sleeves because it gave me such a headache. they look so bad up close. please ignore them...) this is still my best looking cosplay so far i think, hoping to wear her again for jpopcon next year!! (sticking to my deltarune cosplays for the next few cons im going to because... it's nice to have people recognize your cosplay... i really cant lie...)

also thanks to my mom for taking the photos at the top lmao. i got some actual photographer photos from the touhou photoshoot but the place we were staying was out in the countryside and was just the perfect place for some cool suwako photos

I kind of completely forgot to post about my cosplays for it here, but i made a new suwako cosplay and a very rushed floradinn lol

I also had a very incomplete herlock sholmes cosplay for the aa meetup, dont really have any photos i like of it though... but it was a very fun meetup!!

The UT/DR meetup and touhou photoshoot were also super cool, i like how everyone at the utdr meetup started singing the stupidest deltarune meme songs but also dont forget that was lovely

During the touhou photoshoot there was like a vtuber concert happening right behind it and when someone realized they were singing Help Me Erinnnnn everyone ran over and did a literal touhou hijack. insane

A lot of these were either trades or gifts, everyone was so nice!!

I also met @tittletattles, we (including lucky (quinnonimp)) hung out for a while and drew some art for eachother, genuinely so cool i love their fumikado and fumiiyo so much

meeting people irl after having known them online for a long time will never stop being so special to me!!

Also siivagunner irl was insane i still cant believe it. dude. the rave was awesome even though it was so loud i could barely identify the songs i felt a lil stupid

who screamed who yelled WHO CHEERED!!! So much touhou its insane

The past few weeks i've been working on stickers to give out as freebies at Närcon this summer!! look at all these creatures Characters were chosen based on requests from people i know who are going so its a bit of a random assortment lol

Also did a beatrice one for the umineko fans, she ended up being the only one not in a chibi style lol

Sissel and Herlock Sholmes because i'm gonna be cosplaying them

aaandd noelle because i wanted to include her with my fun gang stickers from the start but didnt get around to it before

That's all from me for now... i have been very busy preparing for närcon and doing zine art and stuff
