He was as impassive as ever as he watched the monster carefully. The show of respect smoothed down all the right feathers, as he lifted his head a bit higher before he spoke. The doors to the room were firmly shut, it was as private as it would get for a few hours. Which is quite private.
“Before we start. Give me your report.” He a leg lifted and rested against the other, for once his armor not on his person. He didn’t need it for this. Though the one before him wasn’t nearly as powerful as his Generals, his intel had been invaluable. It allowed him to rise within his ranks and beyond, becoming the eyes and ears of the King himself.
He was hyper aware of their current isolation, his senses heightened due to being in an environment that he wasn’t very used to yet. He was alone with the King, and the implications of that were not lost on him. While he sometimes wondered what the Supreme King saw in him to let him in this way, he didn’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth.
“The skies looked clear today. No air invasions. However I did spot a new rebel camp just north of the mountainside. You--Your Highness should have somebody investigate further.” He hoped the accidental slip of the tongue would go unnoticed, and if not, he hoped Haou wouldn’t be too angered by it. He kept his head lowered, waiting for permission to act otherwise, even as he felt the King’s leg rested against him. No armor, he noted.
