Welcome to the Six Party System. In an alternate future, society has restarted as a whole- and now, you’re fighting to build a completely new nation. Let me show you the characters.

HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Six Parties (or maybe more?) start with a score of 3 variables. Each variable impacts how much popularity they have in the Seven States of Society and what they start off with. Variables start with red signifying extreme unpopularity, and purple signifying extreme popularity.
The Six States, Shellville, Oceania, Novus, Techo, Rerum and Callens all have different demographics, beliefs (on average) and influential figures.
The First Variable: Economics. Economics is a weird place to put on a spectrum, but it goes from left to right. The farthest left economically is Anarchist Communism, then Communism, Socialism, Social Capitalism, Regulated Capitalism, Capitalism, Libertarianism, and then Anarchist Capitalism. (I’m probably missing a few notable ideologies, but this works for now. Also, don’t expect either Anarchist ideologies to ever not be Red.)
Then we have the Liberalism scale. How much rights do you want people to have? What will you restrict or make illegal? Can people defy the government? The most authoritarian is …1933, Certain Rights, Social Conservatism, Social Liberalism, Modern Liberalism, and Everything is Legal. (I don’t know what you expected. Look at what’s happening right now, and tell me that 1933 is Red.)
The third scale is the Progressive v Conservative scale. Do you prefer the status quo, or do you want change? The most progressive is Always Evolving, Progressivism, Moving Realistically, Status Quo, Conservatism, Moving Backwards, and Traditionalism. (If you’re leading a party with the last one, never admit they want to do this. Seriously. Don’t.)
When it comes to characters, everyone is an influential character. Seats will open, Governor slots will open. Elections will be fairly fast, but not too fast paced- I’m thinking about 1 month between elections?
To create a character, you need a name, 3 of the ideologies, a party, a home state, and a background.
There's lots of variables that impact election results, and stuff like that.
Presidential system. President is elected in a 3 round system. 15% in the first round gets you to the 2nd round. Top 2 advance from there.
Legislature is 14 seats FPTP, 16 seats proportional, with 30 seats total. I’m sure there’s a name for this somewhere, I just don’t feel like finding it.
I have a giant google sheets and a map to track all this. Polling data gets released every turn.
THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
Party Chair: RUSSELL CAMPBELL
The Democratic Party. Named after the old Democrats of the US, the Koreas, and many other Democratic Parties, they’re focused on modern liberalism and capitalism. The complete center, leftist infighting and rightist infighting has given the Democrats and Russell Campbell an incredibly strong position- now holding the Presidency, and having a chance at controlling government completely. Although losing Campbell's home state & the Rerum and Novus gubernatorial, it's still possible to keep the party as the biggest one, especially as they've won Techo's gubernatorial & had strong showings for the Democrats in Oceania. Can you prevent the right-wing surge?
Currently, Modern Liberalism/Capitalism/Status Quo. Most popular in Novus and Techo. Currently controls the Presidency and the governor's mansion in Techo.
THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY
PARTY CHAIR: ARIHAN CARSON (u/SillyMeowerCat)
The Conservative Party. They pride family values and protecting the children, but tend to ignore some very rampant problems in society. While slated to be utterly destroyed, Arihan Carson managed to guide the Conservatives to an upset in Rerum on the presidential level, Novus on the gubernatorial, and their candidate came very close to the presidency. Can the Conservatives come back from the dead?
Currently, Social Conservatism/Capitalism/Conservatism. Most popular in Shellville and Oceania. Currently controls the governor's mansion in Shellville and Novus.
THE PROGRESSIVE PARTY
PARTY CHAIR: SAVANNAH ROBINSON (u/DangerousInsect312)
The Progressive Party, started after a wave of left-wing populism paraded by the late Gary Bernard, has risen to the 4th largest party. A openly democratic socialist party, its’ left-wing focus on Economics has attracted many people looking for a new solution. A underpreformance of what was expected & unfortunate occurences & an embarrassing showing nationwide has put the Progressives in an awful spot. Can you counter right-wing populism with a left-wing version?
Starts as Modern Liberalism/Socialism/Progressivism. Most popular in Novus and Oceania.
THE POPULAR PARTY
PARTY CHAIR: JACK COLEMAN
The Popular Party’s rise in politics looks threatening. Made of defectors from the Conservatives, they promise change. There is a lot of internal fighting, though, and riots for the Popular cause continue to rise the support- they look threatening. Controlling Oceania's governor's mansion & entering government in Callens, Jack Coleman has fought off primary challenges and managed to keep things moving in his desired direction. Can you rise to the top of the polls?
Currently, Social Conservatism/Capitalism/Moving Backwards. Most Popular in Oceania and Shellville. Controls the governors' mansion in Oceania.
THE COMMUNIST PARTY
PARTY LEADER: HANS KROGER (u/fred_memelord)
Popular among the youth, the Communist party has taken its' chance and ran with it. Finishing with just below 6%, Hans Kroger has ousted the establishment and brought a new, liberal wave of the Communist Party. But they struggle with just one fact- has the Overton Window shifted left enough? Is the momentum even there?
Currently, Social Liberalism/Communism/Moving Realistically. Most popular in Techo and Novus.
THE AGRARIAN PARTY
PARTY LEADER: SKY COTTON
The Agrarian Party is dominant in Callens. Set on providing for the farmers in the best way possible, Sky Cotton's gubernatorial dominance has brought Callens a very good life. But changes in her party, and a rising solidarist faction of the party challenge Cotton's status quo. Are the Agrarians set to change?
Currently, Social Conservatism/Socialism/Status Quo. Most popular in Callens and Shellville. Controls the Governor's mansion in Callens.
