She nods and walks away, going off to find the others.

“Eh, I’m already awake anyways. After getting thrown like that I don’t think I can go back to bed.” She stands up, rubbing her head, which she hit when she got thrown.

“Jax. I’m like 3 feet tall. Of course getting thrown at someone is going to hurt.”

She rolls her eyes and kicks Jax in the back of the knee. “Anyways, what do you feel like doing today?”

“So the same stuff you’re always doing?”

Basically. Not too much here to do.

“I wish there was more to do other than Caine’s stupid adventures.”

“Something fun. Like a theme park adventure or something. Without any monsters or random challenges.”

Ah, a boring adventure. Well, there is the digital carnival. Though I don’t know if the NPCs there are operational.

“A theme park is different from a carnival. What would you want as an adventure?”

“You and me have 2 very different definitions of what fun is.”

She rolls her eyes. “I don’t think pranking the others like how you do it will ever be funny to me.”

Well, then, what would be a funny prank?

“Oh I don’t know, literally anything that doesn’t cause physical harm or distress. Pranks can be funny and be harmless.”

Pomni, everything’s harmless here. Nothing’s real!

“Some of your pranks can be pretty rude, Jax. For example, a funny prank would be putting googly eyes on gangle’s mask. Not breaking her mask.”

“Just… try and think of some more… harmless pranks. They can still be funny, but gosh you are such an [bonk]hole sometimes with your pranks.”

“That isn’t even close to counting as a prank. I’m starting to think you don’t even know what a prank is.”

I know what a prank is. I just don’t know if you do. And I don’t know what you consider as harmless.

“When I say harmless, I mean stop doing stuff like putting centipedes in Ragatha’s room.”

What do you mean? Centipedes are completely harmless! Am I supposed to leave puppies in her room instead?

“You use something she’s terrified of. That’s not a prank. Try to think of something else that doesn’t utilize their fears.”

“Why must you be so complicated? Just a random mannequin works just fine as a prank. You don’t need to be so extra all of the time.”

“And you can do that without making something look like you, or utilizing someone’s fears. You weirdo.” She smiles at him, but she’s clearly a little irritated.

“I dunno about now but one time I covered a friends entire house in googly eyes. Everything that could have googly eyes on it I stuck it to it. The microwave, the coffee pot, random kitchen appliances. And that’s proof right there that you can do elaborate pranks but still have them be harmless and funny.”

“Make sure they’re the comically large ones.”

“Hmm, maybe. I’m sure someone has googly eyes large enough.”

Gangle or Zooble would probably have some. If not, I’m sure there’s an NPC around here that we can rip them off of.

“I guess I’ll check gangle’s room.”

Pomni finds some googly eyes of an appropriate size in gangle’s room and leaves. “Found some.”

“No live ones. Just get a wooden one.”

“Who?”

“Oh yeah. Them. I mean, sure. But that would take longer.”

“Where else would you find mannequins anyways?”

Steal one from an adventure. See if there’s one operating a carnival ride. See if there’s one behind the stage. Build one from scratch. When you’re creative enough there’s always ways to get things.

“Let’s just grab one from that mannequin room.”

“This is very creepy.”

“They’re sticky.”

“We are not giving it a name.”

“Oh my god Jax you are so insufferable.” She laughs.

(Jax grins at her. When they reach Ragatha’s door he pulls out a key and unlocks the door. He opens it and motions for Pomni to enter first.)

“Why do I gotta go in first? You’re the one who wanted to prank her.”

Pomni ducks. “Watch where you swing that thing [bonk]hole!”

Pomni stands near the door, watching him.

“Seeing a random mannequin in her bed? Yeah.”

Cool. Let’s get out of here and wait for her to find it.

Pomni exits the room before Jax. She’s clearly thinking about something.

“Nothing of your concern.” She rolls her eyes, though she doesn’t seem that annoyed with him. “So, are we going to do anything for now or are we just gonna go do our own things?”

“Not really. I don’t really know what to do today.”

“You know, you’re one nosey rabbit. What I was thinking about is none of your business.”

Come ooooooon. If you keep it all trapped in there you’re gonna run out of room. Your head can only hold so much, y’know.

“I was thinking about how to convince Caine to let us be able to change our clothes whenever. It gets old being in the same outfit all the time except for occasional adventures. Nothing your nosy a[bonk] needed to know.”
