Hello, my name is Charlie, and I'm trying to write a book. I’ve written a book summary post which I will link here!

I may branch out to other social medias, but I'm going to start small on here because people are scary and I dislike being perceived <3

I'll probably continue to edit this post as my plot comes along with writing snippets, art (that my friend makes, I am so untalented it's actually kind of funny), and headcanons for my characters, but that will be under an eventual cut that I will add...eventually (If I don't forget about this site again haha)

i have made a color palette complete with annotations from my characters to use as a reference when drawing

the little doodles are done by rai, and the actual observations/tips were done by lugh….then they just talk to each other RAHH i love them sm

in addition to designing rai’s weapon i have written a journal entry from his perspective about it, complete with an image of the weapon and three stat blocks on a cute little interactive flip folder thing about them

all i need to do is talk about the rest of the noble families and the mage court, and then i’ll be done (ish) with that!!

i haven’t done any actual writing but i have finished refining my act one outline with my new worldbuilding elements so yay!!

i've attempted to draw the godmark that mark my characters as ones of the prophecy

i plan to get better art for it later/finalise the designs eventually, but for now my shitty art is what you'll have to deal with

in lytari, the darkfolk are a specific type of monster that have been infected with void magic (working title)

they stalk forests and well travelled paths at night in order to pick off unsuspecting travellers and rip out their souls and consume them for energy

the art was made by my friend, @olivethebee and is extremely creepy so TW for themes of horror and blood and etc

Yes, I’ve finally gotten around to making a summary post about my book 🥰

It’s a gritty dark fantasy novel that blends the mystery of The Stormlignt Archive by Brandon Sanderson, and the brutal intrigue of The Broken Empire Trilogy by Mark Lawrence.

Without further ado, welcome to: Veiled Echoes

Thrust into the new, unfamiliar world of Lytari, two warriors—Rhaizan and Lugh—emerge with no memory of their pasts. Drawn together by fate, they wander a world plagued by corruption and suspended by fear of the ruthless tyrant, Lord Nocre. Whispers of an ancient prophecy speak of two souls chosen by the gods—but neither Rai nor Lugh know if they are the saviours of the realm, or something far worse.

Their search for answers lead them to the lost histories of the Drakari, a species hunted to extinction and erased from the history of Lytari. As they uncover long-buried secrets, all while honing their strange magic, they are pursued by enemies who would rather do everything in their power to see them fall before their true purpose is realised.

With visions of a world consumed by shadow and war closing in around them, Rai and Lugh must unravel the mystery of their origins, navigate the gods’ cryptic will, and decide if destiny is something to be followed—or broken.

That’s the gist of it (and liable to change some in the future as i read it later and go eugh this sounds terrible)
