A Travesty of Words

and little cups filled

as they prepare

our daily dose

that numbs us

to the world.

washes over me

as a yearning heart becomes

another lost dream

fed to an angry sea.

the empty pain

as ten thousand tears

fell like hot rain.

leave our stars

in the hearts

in the hope

for our love.

the different parts
