"The love of another day"

From hunter and gatherer,

to seamster and engineer;

Glory and triumph over foe,

trial and tribulation with friend.

The vast human spirit,

catapulted into the great spotlight,

to dominate freely, this earth. 

O, where has time gone?

For yesterday we lived among caverns of stone,

and today within the great comfort of home.

Yes, truly, we once lived amongst this earth,

not against her.

But alas, our time has come.

And what a sight!

Race shows no bearing, gender no meaning, wealth no standing.

For the glorious Catholic prays alongside the knowing Jew, and glowing Muslim.

Yes, they look towards the heavens as one.

“For what, is the end nigh?”

“Why have you brought us into the final day?”

And yet, no answer received.

Yes, we have reached the end of man.

Man asks his god why he has done this to us.
