In the Land of Waves arc, Haku details the harsh reality of those born with bloodline abilities. They were exploited as tools for war, feared as bad omens, and treated like monsters rather than humans. Once the conflicts ended, they were hunted and persecuted, forced to hide their identities just to survive. Haku even notes that Sasuke must have grown up carrying that same kind of pain due to his Kekkei Genkai.
Later we learn that Sasuke’s Uchiha clan was long subjected to a deep-seated prejudice because of their Kekkei Genkai that viewed them as cursed humans predisposed to evil. This bias led to decades of systematic oppression and seclusion from political power, ultimately resulting in the clan being wiped out in a state-sanctioned genocide. Sasuke was left to rot in same compound where his entire family was slaughtered, all while being objectified and dehumanized because of his Kekkei Genkai. All of this, just for certain fandoms to claim that people without Kekkei Genkai are the actual underprivileged — propping up sheltered characters as if they had it worse, while calling a literal genocide survivor a "privileged nepo baby."

Damn, Kishi really went hard drawing Sasuke like this. He's literally covered in blood, with multiple shuriken and kunai impaling his body; his right hand pinned to a tree by a kunai, his right eye looking like it’s been pierced by another, his left arm severed midway, and his left leg twisted at a completely unnatural angle. It's so gory for a 12-year-old character (by my standards), and it’s kinda crazy how adult Sasuke actually ends up losing an arm and an eye, maybe not intentional, Kishi really ended up predicting his future.
Sasuke always gets dragged in Sakura discourse like he was just an asshole to her for no reason. The first time we see her, she’s trying to make Sasuke hers and steal his first kiss. They’re not even teammates at this point, they haven’t even interacted before, and she’s already claimed him in her head, which comes off as very entitled. She doesn’t respect his personal space from the start, but somehow Sasuke is the one who gets blamed for keeping his boundaries.
The infamous “you’re annoying” line from Sasuke that people love to twist into him being verbally abusive to Sakura wasn’t even his line to begin with. Sakura says the exact same thing to Naruto first after getting mad over the accidental kiss.
Here Sasuke throws that same line back at Sakura. He’s not being randomly rude here. What she said about orphans being “lucky” for not having parents to scold them is genuinely insensitive, especially to someone like Sasuke who actually lost his parents in a horrific way. In order to make Sakura sympathetic and to justify her inconsiderate behavior, people cast Sasuke as the bad guy, ignoring the fact that his reactions didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s always his response that gets focused on, not what led up to it.
Hey there fellow Sasuke stans, It’s been a while since I’ve made an actual post here. I just lost motivation for a bit. 2026 hasn’t been the best so far, and I’ve been burnt out for months. I keep wanting to get away from all this fandom bullshit, and then it just feels so wrong not to speak up for Sasuke. That’s the reason I started this blog in the first place,to defend him. I’m finally in the mood to yap about him again, so I’m going to start posting my thoughts while I reread the manga properly this time. I hope I can be consistent. I really appreciate the people who are still following me, and most importantly I just wanna say I love Sasuke Uchiha so much.

Have you ever noticed a show or movie or comic where the villain is someone who’s challenging the existing power structure or something and it’s like “oh maybe they have a point?” but then the villain does something incredibly morally abhorrent like kill their own troops or something and the story is like “they let their lust for revenge take over” and so now it’s okay for the hero to oppose them and, in the process, uphold the preexisting flawed system?
I call it “pulling an MCU Villain”
L/Sasuke´s crossover by Sabako.
sasukes genuinely so tragic and tortured as a character and almost no one realizes it even though its glaringly obvious. bro is literally a genocide survivor who was made to witness that awful pain on repeat by his brother who literally enacted it. and then he got groomed by a weird grown man and was shamed for ever wanting to leave the place where all his troubles began and for wanting to seek justice for his people. then after he found out that same place had actually planned the annihilation of his people he was still convinced to abandon his ideals and assimilate back into the village that was the origin of all he suffered. hes completely doomed by the narrative and its so miserable if you actually can appreciate him as a character
