would characters that know each other in original canon still know each other in the canon here? or is that up to the players?
so ; kind of a mixture of both, any familiar relationships you may find yourself wanting to keep, while also maybe wanting to change in little ways. ( just to give a lil example; lizzie from legacies / tvdverse i want her to keep her little family unit, but also i have changed her backstory in trying to make it fit into the ideas i had for her ) so yes; i would say it's a good mixture of the two; knowing each other but also very heavily up to you.
so are these muses just complete au versions of the characters? or are they taken from a certain point in canon?
they're complete au versions !! which ofc i think gives more chance to get creative with them , especially when going to incorporate parts of their canon into the dnd universe !!!

and with our first session posted , and the start of the first campaign ; THEREDA IS FULLY OPEN ! with that; all rules including activity rules will now come into play , with out first interest check coming in two weeks. however , any blogs not making posts / showing signs of activity in the next 72 hours will be reopened . ( if anyone thinks they may need an extension on this, just let one of the admins know ! ) and, as a little post-opening celebration; the character limit has been risen to 6 !
The youngest Newmont's wedding is about to commence, oh joyous day!! Or is it? There is still some unrest in the city, unwanted comments about the newlyweds are talked in hushed tones from civilian homes and taverns alike. Maybe in a dark alleyway occasionally. But the presence of the guards is giving those neigh-sayers a reason to zip their lips as the festivities are underway. Ah, yes, speaking of; The Newmont Royal guards currently post themselves at every street corner, and more patrol the streets keeping the city safe for the traditional parade where the stars of said event will be the Newlyweds greeting their people.
On these streets kind old grannies with their grandchildren are passing out free flowers and baskets of petals for kids and adults alike, free of charge to throw in the path of the newlyweds. Small carts of baked goods, candies, and savory meals are also being set up filling the streets with delicious aromas wherever one walks. The best part? They are all free of charge, most carts have the Royal Family insignia on a flag hung from their stands, and artist depictions of the couple are plastered everywhere.
Taverns are giving out free drinks to patrons spreading lively music from their now wide-open doors. Rejoicing are the patrons for the wedding, some not so much but who says no to a good drink? But despite the joyous atmosphere the guards seem to sense something the civilians don't yet. They take an extra look in the dark corners and over their shoulders. Something is in the air, and maybe some of the people feel it too. But this isn't an occasion to dwell, is it? The ceremony will soon commence, may Risous bless the couple and their destiny.

This is Session One and it will take place from March 13th - April 3rd.

All muses should be in the city of Souris enjoying the festivities, possibly taking advantage of the free drinks, or celebrating with friends.
it would also be a good time to set your muses loyalty's on where they stand with the royal family. for or against the wedding, indifferent all together to the family. especially on where they stand on the human/tiefling mixtures.

we now have a world building page ; currently you can read about the different religions / gods within Thereda. and the Royal Family that currently resides within Souris.
the page will get changed and updated as more things change and grow within Thereda; especially through our campaigns ( which of; the first session is almost done, and will hopefully be posted tomorrow ! )
