Day 1: 169 Pounds
Needless to say, my juices arrived! Several days ago, in fact.
Today marked Day 1 of my totally awesome juice cleanse/fast/feast adventure. Not gonna lie, it's always difficult not to eat when I'm at home and I was home ALL DAY LONG. I was seriously tempted by the flax tortilla chips and organic guac nestled in my kitchen. Visions of Santa Fe Burrito's High Test Nachos danced in my head. In fact, I just went to their website to gawk at all the tortilla chips smothered in melted cheese, beans, guacamole, and sour cream. Holy Long John Silver...but I digress.
As when I first rebooted a year ago, I noticed that it was pretty difficult to finish most of the juices. I intended to start my reboot yesterday, but it took me forever to finish the first bottle (sweet greens). Actually, I didn't even finish but saved about 1/3 of it for this morning's breakfast. The rest of the day was filled with cheeseburgers and sweet tea. Horrible, I know.
I ended up tossing the remaining sweet greens this morning and jumped right into a skinny elixir, followed by a fireball. I had another skinny elixir, a carrot & greens, a green lemonade, and a mixed veggie throughout the rest of the day. My last juice was a less than an hour ago. They are pretty dang hard to finish because I'm not used to all these fresh flavors yet. I know they'll become more palatable by about Day 4 or so, by which point I'll be chugging them. With all that said, beQu's juices are definitely on the sweeter side than other "juiceries" I've tried. They somehow manage to balance the savory with the sweet, without going overboard with fruit.
Anyway, I'm going to try a golden goose then finish getting ready for tomorrow. I definitely need to make up a schedule for these drinks!
[P.S. For reference, I'm 5'8"ish.]
