When Carol woke up from her dream about Daryl and Henry in the kitchen, she did so wearing the plastic pearl from Sophia's hairband instead of the replica necklace with the smaller bead on a chain she usually wears.

And because I think she's at the Sanctuary and not in fact at the Kingdom or in France or whatever, I realized I should go back and see if I could find this room at the Sanctuary. Unfortunately I'm all out of fucks and patience so I can't get myself to rewatch the show right now. BUT...

...I did notice that the wall above the tile in the room where they kept D*ryl captive is EFFING IDENTICAL to the color on the walls in Carol's room.

I checked some scenes in some other rooms as well (Dwight's, Eugene's and N*gan's) but they were either beige or grey. The corridor outside Eugene's room is painted in this green color as well, though.

It's washed out af, but definitely a very simular tone (different lighting?). Darker at the bottom and lighter at the top.

I just saw a thread on Twitter by someone trying to show a C*ryler how she interprets scenes on the show wrong because TPTB has said so. It was GORGEOUS because it reminded me that what NR said in that interview (...Melissa hasn't pitched the idea [about D&C becoming a romantic couple] either! People read too much into the scenes - we're JUST FRIENDS - it's not our fault people are reading something else into the scenes!...) has been going on FOREVER. He's more aggressive about it than ever before because now him and Melissa are actually part of TPTB. They have an actual say about what's going on and now they have to really start gaslighting the audience just like TPTB has done this whole time.

I watched Br*aking Bad back in the day but never watched panels or interviews, but I can't imagine that this much retconning was done to that show. On that show they just showed what was going on right there on screen - MIND BLOWN. But on T W D they have to go back and RE-EXPLAIN (retcon) EVERYTHING for its stupid audience. They THEMSELVES put confusing shit in there just to confuse the audience and then they have to go back and retroactively retcon everything for their audience whom, essentially, has peanuts for brains because they believe what they see on screen.

NR and MMB aren't stupid. They could have played the scenes like NR played his scenes with Andy and Melissa could have played them like she played them with SWC or Emily K. THEY DIDN'T.

STILL, the "You are my brother" scene he had with Norman wasn't changed to (what we now have learned; the EXTREMELY PLATONIC) "I love you" - "I love you too". WEIRD. Almost like they were worried it might be misinterpreted by the STUPID FUCKING AUDIENCE who are known to READ ALL THE WRONG THINGS into what is ACTUALLY going on on the screen.

PLEASE, STOP listening to what other people (TPTB or random airheads <--- ME INCLUDED!) are telling you - PLEASE, use your own brain!

I HATE the "You are my brother" scene with all my heart because Rick banished Carol and she's not even back yet here, BUT this is NR's favorite scene of the show. I'm supposed to love it too.

So these two scenes are definitely paralleling each other, right?

So why the FUCK didn't D*ryl say "You are my sister" and Carol "You are my brother" here?? WHY???? It would have made everything SUPER CLEAR. THIS was their chance to define their relationship. NR could have DEMANDED it. MMB could have DEMANDED it. They must be SICK AND FUCKING TIRED of fans "always wanting them together *eyeroll*. It's REALLY NOT THAT HARD.

You can't complain that the fans "reads things into it" when you REFUSE to define the relationship.

I remember clearly when D*ryl held Rick's face like this and looked at him like this for several seconds in their reunion as well.

And who could forget when... OH RIGHT! Rick wasn't wearing his murder coat.... but IF HE HAD worn it, I would have LOVED to see D*ryl's hands magically disappear inside that murder coat for just a moment.

I have to go back to where she was (re: ONLY D*ryl) in the real world before the dream sequence started.

*Terminus hug (with the ILY from D) *Jokes about pink blanket on the bed in the Women’s shelter *Water jugs (D fumbling/flustered) *Jokes about how she was dressing and him needing a shower. I probably forgot things…

They were being flirtatious, both of them! But in this world you risk losing people all the time. Also - D*ryl (probably) doesn’t know what she did regarding K&D or Lizzie. How would he react if he found out? Could she be in a romantic relationship with him and never tell him the truth? I think the answer to the last question was “no”.

I really think she was starting to consider the possibility of a romantic relationship with D, but she didn’t know if she was capable of having one after what she went through with Ed OR if she deserved to be loved in spite of everything on her “Kill list” so she left. And that’s were we are in the real world in my theory.

A1pha/Beta relationship was all about the power dynamics - it’s in their (new) names. So…

If Carol was A1pha in the A/B relationship, she definitely was the Beta (Queen to the King) in the Carol/Zeke relationship. The Carol/Tobin thing was brief but I read that as equal.

Carol starts off by trying out an equal relationship with Tobin. That ended with him dying.

The day after Tobin dies (when she’s chopping wood) Zeke calls her a coward for not going out to look for his kid. An equal relationship didn’t work so now she follows his lead. SUCCESS! She does what he tells her and she goes out and finds Henry!Sophia! AMAZING. She accepts the ring and lives happily (submissively!) with him for years to come. Turns out everything literally falls apart around her when she’s not in the driver’s seat.

Enter A1pha/Beta! (It’s funny that the relationships don’t overlap at all, it’s all one after another). Equality didn’t work and being submissive didn’t work, so now she goes all in being dominant. That ends badly too.

She tried everything and nothing works.

Not only this but the part of herself she believes he loved (Connie!Carol) is still buried/gone.

That’s where we are when D*ryl opens the gate for her at Alexandria, we’re back to where we began and she has confirmed to herself that she CAN’T be in a romantic relationship with D*ryl. I’m so excited!!- LOL

(Worth noting is that none of the “simulated” relationships were physically abusive like the one she had with Ed in real life. That relationship obviously wasn’t equal but I don’t think he was the dominant one either - I think he felt like he had to use his fists in order to be the King of his Kingdom because Carol refused to be submissive to him. Alas…

Also worth noting is that when Carol was the dominant one, she chose not to be in a sexual relationship with her partner. That’s VERY interesting to me because of who D*ryl is. She will never have to feel like she needs to fulfill his wants and needs in that way.)

The way the hands are tied together is obviously way exaggerated too, but it's at least in the right direction! She probably made macramé slings for her flowerpots whenever she got a rare moment for herself.
