For muses with magic leanings or AU purposes. An attempt at some variety of magic preferences, and some silly options as well. Change wording as needed.

“Don’t drink that!”

“It’s just tea. No potion or shenanigans to worry about.”

“Here take this. Wait, no. This one.”

“I can’t just give you shape-shifting powers, that’s not how potions work.”

“I’m not THAT kind of witch/wizard/warlock/etc.”

“Spells take a lot of time and energy. I’m not just giving them away for free.”

“If you insist on sticking around, at least be useful and grab the bottle of dragonfly wings.”

“You thought this was what? It’s a bath bomb. Nothing more and nothing less.”

“So you make spells? Can you help me fix my life?”

“Do you need to sacrifice me or something for some magic?”

“We don’t do sacrifices. That’s just fear-mongering.”

“You’re going to turn me into a toad, I just know it!”

“Can you read my fortune?”

“So you can tell the future?”

“Just because I pulled the Death card doesn’t mean you’re actually going to die.”

“Yes I need all these candles. No I won’t tell you why.”

“This is a strange bit of magic…”

“Are all spells so pretty? Or just yours?”

“You’re lucky you’re too cute to curse.”

“You’ll burn for this, witch!”

“They say there’s a wicked, old witch in these woods.”

“You do realize they just sold you nothing more than water flavored with mint, right? This isn’t a potion.”

“You’re a fraud. This isn’t magic.”

“Can you teach me how to do magic like you?”

“You’ll never learn this spell if you don’t pay attention.”

“I may have accidentally spilled water on your spellbook.”

“Is magic real?”

“Of course magic is real.”

“There’s no such thing as magic.”

“So do you use a wand or a staff or anything?”

[Alyssa sat down to think about her usual self. Maybe yesterday was not a great day but, things worked out! Maybe tomorrow and the rest of days will be much much better! The female shifted on her seat, her hands shifted too, covered by her sweater, as she tried holding a mug. Sometimes we all need a small eye opener. She took a sip and sighed happily. Yes. What a good coffee. To be her first official day on tumblr, this was good. Silent. And good.

[The squeak was enough to catch the scientist’s attention. And of course he noticed the blankets. He bitterly groaned, but stopped as soon as he noticed Fintan landing on his shoulder.] “Huh. I was wondering what had happened to you.“

[He made his way to the pile of blankets and stared at it. He’s seen this before, and it certainly isn’t going to be the last time. Not that he had anything against Lucy and her fascinating coping mechanisms or anything. Taking off his glasses and taking Fintan off his shoulders, he placed them down to the side.] “Hold my glasses, bro.”

[Without warning, Amon jumped on the pile! …but missed Lucy. Of course, he wasn’t going to do that! Not when she was being this way. Thus began his job of having to move ALL THE DAMNED BLANKETS and getting to the center that is the Constable.] “LUCY, I KICKED YOUR DOOR DOWN, BUT IT DIDN’T BREAK! AND YOU DIDN’T COMMENT ON MY ASSHOLE AUTHORITY!”

[Fintan let off a startled flap of his wings when Amon picked him up.] “Wak!” [Still, somehow he did actually hold onto his glasses… and started teething on the sides of them. Rest in Shit, Gabriel Feng Amon’s Glasses.]

[When he nearly pile drove into her Lucy shot up. She adjusted the blankets.]

“I thought y’d be… to busy t’care………… wit’ y’wife an’ all…”

[Lucy Baker wasn’t anything. She didn’t belong in the Mystery Room with Alfendi. She didn’t even know where her “original” Alfendi was. Where her “Original” Mystery Room was. Perhaps she wasn’t even really Lucy Baker. The only constant she seemed to have was Amon and even he…]

[When he saw Lucy shift, he was quick to move and sit in front of her in hopes he could stare at her. To no avail, apparently. A sigh escaped him as he reached out to ruffle her hair through her hat. But the scientist hesitated and quickly drew back his hand.]

"You know, I was asking myself the same damn thing when I came back here to this world with my wife. Aside from just having contacts here... I feel like I owe you a lot. Sounds pretty fucked up, coming from the guy that's pretty much treated you like shit all these years, right?"

[A groan escaped him and he huffed.] "You know I hate admitting this, but... I'm glad you never gave up on me all those years, saying that there's good in everybody. Took some time, and it's pretty much too late now... but..."

[The pile of blankets that was Lucy Baker had hardly moved in several hours. She’d cry all her energy out get up to do the very basic hygiene things, and then go right back into the pile of blankets to sleep, wake up, and repeat it all over again.]

[When Amon kicked down her door she still didn’t move. Fintan, however, did.]

“Wak!” [He squeeked, flying in a small circle around the blankets before flying over to Amon. Fintan is still bleping as he sniffed the air, then quickly nested on Amon’s shoulder. Yes this was a stranger to Fintan, but they shared a similar scent to Cardinal.] “Wak!”
