Combat Posts Arasol and Other Things

Searching up Bleach fanfics on AO3 for the first time and seeing how much of it was Grimmjow x Ichigo was an odd experience. Like at least in other fandoms with an aggressively mid gay male ship that dominates fanfic spaces (Davekat, BakuDeku, etc.) people actually talk about the ship and seem to care about it. I’ve never seen anyone so much as mention Grimmjow x Ichigo outside of people mentioning how much fanfic it has.

Daverezi is the Ichiruki of Homestuck.

I know people hate him and say his continued presence damaged the series, but you can pry Mayuri Kurotsuchi from my cold dead hands okay.

Part of why Arasol is my favorite ship (and something a lot of Arasol creators often miss) is that Sollux is kind of a jackass sometimes, but like, a realistic jackass. And it’s sweet to see an abrasive person open up to someone he loves. This is also part of why I find Sollux relatable, lol.

Erisol baffles me as a ship. The way it’s done always feels kinda just like “we got two guys who hate each other and interact like 4 times one of which was a fight and we’re gonna put them in these cutesy wholesome couple scenarios”. Yaoislop, if you will.

More funny stories from my girlfriend reading Bleach: I had talked to her frequently about the series before and she had a decent amount of spoilers, including the fact that Ichigo ended up with Orihime. She must have forgotten this because her (and her siblings) immediately assumed Ichigo would end up with Rukia. IchiRuki really is that powerful lol.

Convinced my girlfriend to start reading Bleach and she asked me on a call “please tell me Urahara X Yoruichi is canon please tell me theyre married” and I almost didn’t have the heart to tell her that the ship has never been directly confirmed.
