Melbourne is home to 5.2 million people. We don’t all live in the bush. 

As the largest living structure on the planet, the Great Barrier Reef is incredibly rich and diverse and can be seen from space!

We’ve got mountains too! Australia’s highest mountain Mt Kosciusko stands at a massive  2,228m! That’s 7309.711 feet for all y’all Americans.

Australia may be mainly desert, however, the beaches are stunning!

If you thought we all lived like this, think again. 70% of Australia is considered desert and only 3% of the population lives there. The rest of the population lives near the coast.  

Australian’s can cook more than a shrimp on a barbie. We invented both lamingtons and pavlova. If you don’t know what they are, you have not lived.

Australia is the second most multicultural country in the world. We might not look like you thought we did.

When you think of Australia you probably don’t picture this. Australia’s Indigenous culture is one of the  oldest surviving cultures in the world!
