"In March of this year, I was contacted by a man named Marty Lydecker. During the call, he claimed to be one hundred and twenty-three years old and that he had worked as a below-the-line crew member on over eight hundred Films between the years nineteen eighteen and Two thousand and seven. He said he had wanted to write a book about his experiences. However, he was unable to after losing the use of his fingertips due to a freak sandblasting accident. So he contacted me in hopes that I could record his stories for posterity. What follows are bits and pieces from over Sixty hours of interviews.

As of June of 2022, none of these stories have been verified."

In this short from Celtic Ray Filmworks, our own Mig Windows tells a story about a boy, his penis, and a village.  Adapted from the notes of the Patreon post for December 27th, 2017. “This was the Second Script that I wrote while stuck in Georgia at a Snipe Hunt of a film festival. And it was easily the fastest script I've ever written. From conception to completion, it took about 20-25 minutes. Sometimes, my brain can pull its shit together and get something done. Again, born from the same impulse as A SHORT DIALECTIC ON THE NATURE AND PURPOSE OF SEXUAL DESIRE. Guys behaving badly. (And as long as we're on the subject, why the hell do guys send dick pics unsolicited?  Did it work once in 2005 and everyone's trying to re-capture the magic?) The shoot went quickly. Thanks to the format of being a children's story, Mig was able to hide the script in a storybook, eliminating the need to memorize. The British Accent was Mig’s idea and it was brilliant! 

We shot about two takes with two lenses. The 35mm on the medium shot, and the 85mm on the long shots. And for the first time, we had actual sound recordists, Michael Bryant and Erik Brendeland. And the good news was that it's the best sound we've had to date. The bad news is that we recorded the sound on Mono boom mikes and for some reason, the 85mm take's sound could not be remixed to Stereo. Thankfully, I was able to work around it somewhat.
